      That video was hilarious!

Although, I'd probably act the same way if it was a spider...

Or I would go off and tell someone else about it and have them kill it.

I do that all the time.

This one time, I was just about to go to sleep when I looked up and over my bed there were all these little crawly things, and I was like, "what are THOSE?!" So I got a closer look and saw that it was a whole nest of newly hatched spiders, and I completely freaked out. Usually my mom just ignores me when I scream at her that there's a spider, but this time she actually helped me. True story. It scarred me for life.

      Rofl. Win.

And that video was the funniest thing I've seen all day, and that's saying a lot.

Spiders don't really bother me all that much. I've poked and prodded around their webs and whatnot, while they were just sitting there chillin. What I don't like is encounters with spiders in sudden, or uncontrollable situations.

Like this one that I posted a lil while back:

Her room light, across the hall, came on, and then I saw her coming down the hall in my direction. Then she turned the hall light on as she came closer, and I saw a big fuckin spider running toward my face, full speed. As I was picking myself up off the floor, the son of a bitch jumped at my face, from a good 12" away, and just barely missed me. We ended up chasing it around my cousin's room and killing it.

Ever wake up to the sight of a spider flying at your face? Lol. Quite an experience.
Now, when they are sitting still, or I'm in a position to where I know I can haul ass when I need to, I'm fine. But when they are lurking around in places they should be, and I'm caught off guard, that's a whole 'nother situation entirely.

It's a "cluster" or "clutter" of spiders.

      Although I like "flock" better.

      It's creepier.

      A flock of spiders?

Arachnophobia seems to be quite common. Personally, I am not afraid of the average spider, but when I imagine being locked into a room full of brown recluses, it changes everything.

Most sane people would be afraid of that.

I love spiders. I think I may have said this before, but it's true. Just yesterday a nice-sized spider, not sure what kind it was, ran across the living room floor, and my mom yelled at me to kill it. Instead I picked it up and took it outside. It obviously wasn't poisonous.

Garden spiders (orb weavers) are badass. I love those little guys. I've got a few good pics of them laying around. There is one with a huge web on my front porch, above my freezer. Every now and then I'll see a huge wolf spider in my bathrom. I leave them be and they leave me be. Plus, they eat other bugs. I'd much rather have spiders than roaches. Maybe it's just me.

On the other hand, as Exhalent said, if I was locked in a room full of brown recluses, there would be some reckoning to be done. And if a wolf spider jumped on my face, that might startle me a bit.

I have a ton of spiders living around my house. They are the only real pest problem we have. I hate them when they make their way into the house, but I love seeing them outside. One morning, I saw one spinning his web in one of the window panes on my door. I watched him for a good 10 minutes. It is incredible that they can do that just on instinct.

My girlfriend uses a handheld vacuum to suck them up when she finds them in the house. I'm scared that all the dead and dying spiders in that vacuum will somehow combine into a single, giant mutant spider creature. A huge mass of legs, vacuum hoses, fangs, and webbing. "I've come for my revenge!"
