      Dependency on Binaural Beats?

Is it possible to become dependent on using them? I'm trying them for the second time tonight and I'm not too worried about that, but I'm rather curious.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

It's possible to become dependent on anything. Some people become enthralled to their routines very easily. For example, when I was a teenager and I first started experimenting with WILDs I was convinced for some reason that it would only work if I was laying on my back although I regularly lay on my stomach. To this day if I try to WILD I just don't feel right laying in my regular sleeping position.

If you attune your mind to a specific process it can be difficult for some people to deviate from successfully.

Thanks for the input; I agree entirely that people can become dependent on anything.

Delta or alpha, I believe. Can't remember which one.

For me it's the opposite. Over time I feel I have developed a tolerance for some of the beats. I try to mix it up occasionally because of this.
I've had dreams and lucid dreams simply by listening to some, but after the first few times, that doesn't happen. Same thing with the ability for some to put me to sleep in the first place.

It's possibly Delta or Theta, because alpha is an awake frequency. I doubt you can get lucid dreams by using an awake frequency. Care to share the beat, btw?

Yes. You won't be dependent like with a drug, but when it get the time to relax for you, it will be harder for you to meditate without such waves. You brain will get use to it and will want to wait for the brainwaves before starting to generate waves itself.

However, I do not think for using them every now and then will be an issue at all. Do both meditation with and without waves and you will be fine.

Alpha waves is for light sleep (lucid dreaming, astral projection, etc)

Delta waves is for people in a coma and while in deep sleep (non rem dreams)
