      Apple juice isnt helping

Before i start, let me just say i believed it would work and stuff. So allow me to begin:

I drink a lot of apple juice through out the day. and rememebered about 2-4 dreams a night. One day, it was right before i went to sleep, i downed 250ml of apple juice and when to sleep, my recall decreased :/

      why???

First of all, there's no really documented proof that it does help. When you drink apple juice, your body produces acetylcholine. It helps your memory somehow, anyways the amount of apple juice you need to drink for it to have any effect on dreams, is probably alot more than 250 ml.

Second, you had decreased recall ONE night? You should try ingesting apple juice right before bed atleast 10 times before you can say you've seen consistent results.

      Even placebo can fail.

I have a solution you might like. It involves banana's and 5-htp. And it is proven to scientifically help.

banana's contain B6 (pyridoxine), a vitamin that processes tryptophan into serotonin ( that's where 5-htp comes in [5-hydroxytryptophan]). Basically by eating banana's and taking 1 tablet of 5-htp a day, your vividness in your dreams should increase dramatically. Now of course I wouldn't recommend taking the 5-htp right away, as it's only necessary for those who tend to be deficient in serotonin (like me). The Vitamin B6 is the main one. The great thing about serotonin is that it's like the body's own private "happy drug" stash.

To add testimonial: Since I've been practicing ADA and eating banana's, my vividness has increased to a consistent level. I feel that lucid dreaming is almost within grasp. Hope that helps.

      Moved this to Lucid Aids.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

That information helped a lot! Never would have thought that bananas+5-HTP would be a good combination.

Banana, with peanut butter, with a cup of green tea and apple juice.

      Do it.

It's really good! I could only manage half a mug at first, but with balls of steel I persisted and now I love the stuff. YUMMEH!
