      Most effective/favorite Lucid Aid

I didn't see a poll like this, so I figured I'd create one myself.

Which lucid aid do you like the most?

Please post your thoughts on the various ones and why the one you voted for is your favorite.

My favorite one is Galantamine + Choline because taken during a WBTB it will almost guarantee you a lucid dream, and even if you don't have one, you'll still have very vivid and long dreams.

I tend to like the B- vitamins more, just because it's easily available for me. Might just be a placebo I've taken onto, but it works nonetheless.

Only tried B6 so far and it really improves my dream recall, plus I just feel more awake during the day which I kind of like. I want to try G&C but worried it could do some damage, with side effects and not being a tested drug.

There are barely any side effects from Galantamine, which is an Alzheimers drug. The day after your thought process can be a little bit "hyperactive" and some people report getting an upset stomach. It won't do you any damage what so ever, taking too much B6 on the other hand is something you should avoid as it can give you nerve damage.

I take 100mg B^ every few days, and wouldn't go over this, however I am curious about this G&C - what form does it come in?

Yeah I take B6 once or twice a week aswell, 150-200 mg. The G+C comes in a pill, 4 mg Galantamine and 200 mg Choline. It's called "Lucid Dreamer", just look for it on google and you'll find a site that sells it.

I take B vitamins almost every night and I think they do affect my dreams, making them more vivid. I don't think they help you very much when it comes to actually getting lucid but they do affect my dreams.

Ok, I'm reading up on the thread for this pill, but can you recommend a safe website which would sell this? You can PM me if you don't want to put it on here. I'm still unsure of taking pills from the internet, but I'm going to read up and do some research. Thanks for your input!

Also, I'm trying the menthol sweets as a lucid dream aid - first night I got lucid for a few seconds at the end of a few dreams, but that could just be co-incidence.

      Definitely Galantamine + Choline!
I have also tried B6, apple juice and 5-HTP. They didn't have much impact on my dreams.
I have just woken up after 2 DILDs. Yesterday I took B-complex in the morning and 100 mg 5-HTP in the evening. After 4 hours of sleep, I took 4 mg Galantamine with 200 mg Choline. It was the 6th time I took Galantamine. On my first 4 attemps I couldn't fall asleep. It seems I have adjusted to it and it works great! Today I drifted to sleep quite fast, without HH.

Galantamine + choline has not really worked for me. I have never got lucid with it at all although it might have made my dreams slightly more vivid than normal. I was disappointed as everyone talks about this combo like it is the holy grail to having a lucid dream.

5-HTP feels almost like REM rebound, can give you crazily long dreams. I guess all supplements work differently for each person, and some nights they barely do anything at all. Just have to believe in their power and cross your fingers I guess.

You guys are nuts, calea is the coolest by far. Every other choice in the poll has increased my dreams in very general ways, though I will admit that they can be pretty powerful. Calea is an experience in itself, as long as you actually get potent leaves. Every time I smoked it before going to bed I had dreams that were like being in an action movie with just one crazy plot twist after another. The best part? The adrenaline rushes... full-strength action-packed surges of energy that don't harm the stability of the dream in any way. It also always makes my dreams "pointlessly detailed", as I describe it.... For instance, whereas in a normal dream you might be in a small room with a few friends, or MAYBE a crowded area with mostly blurry faces around you, on calea you might be at an amusement park or otherwise heavily crowded area where you can literally see every single person in the background, each with their own individual phenotypes, fashion styles, and plethora of various objects being juggled between their arms.... Lucid or not, it rules! Once I was lucid and Hulk-jumping from rooftop to rooftop at Disneyland or something, and as I was watching the crowd below I noticed something - after a while, the same DCs were just being reused over and over again. My brain had run out of RAM and was recycling background characters. Priceless!

It is REM rebound. :3 5-HTP metabolizes into serotonin, which then metabolizes into N-acetylserotonin and melatonin, the latter two of which both activate melatonin receptors and function through REM rebound. Serotonin itself is inhibited during dreams, so this is actually the only real goal of 5-HTP. I'd say the N-acetylserotonin is probably what makes it different from melatonin alone; the former has additional antidepressant actions that the latter lacks, which could definitely make for better dreams.
