I recently tried some isochronic tones that were 5 Hertz (Hz) And i had them play for one hour. I only used thirteen minutes, because that's just the way i am. I fell asleep shortly after i put away my headphones. The dream? Holy shit was it ever vivid. Lasted quite a while too. |

Sorry about that. |

Do these induce hallucinations/sleep paralysis/etc. like binaural beats do? |

I'm a newbie to LD and last night tried isochronic tones for the first time. It was definitely doing something to me. My legs were still yet tingly, I had pulses of light and swirlies under my eyelids, and strange sensations throughout my body. I; however, could not fall asleep listening to it. Maybe it was too much anticipation, maybe they're better for afternoon naps...I'm not sure. Can anybody tell me if I'm doing something wrong with it. After using them, it was the first time in over s week I had zero dream recall. |

Make sure you are using stereo headphones. (that means NOT EARBUDS.) secondly, you aren't supposed to fall asleep with them. i get an excellent effect by listening to them any length over 7 minutes at bedtime. when you get those "Light swirlies", try to imagine a landscape. try to BE there. and you'll want to listen to requencies anywhere from 4-7 hz. (Hertz). |
|
So are you just supposed to listen to them before bed and any time you're able to and not listen to them when you're actually ready to close your eyes and dream? |
|
can you share some links to the beats? I am interested in this but have no idea where to find quality tones? Thanks. |

I love how powerful Isochronic tones are, but I hate how you have to fall asleep for them to work because it is hard to fall asleep with large stereo headphones. Other than that they work great. The first time I actually fell asleep to them I had a lucid dream and spawned myself a gun in walmart, wasnt much but I was lucid nonetheless. |

There is an app for android (i am unsure about iPhone) that is called "Braindroid". It allows you to create your own sessions. You get to choose what kind of session (Monaural, Binaural, or Isochronic.), and how long it is. You need to spend 4 bucks to upgrade it, otherwise you can only make 15 minute sessions and the default sessions will only play for 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can find sessions on the internet. Whether it is on youtube, on MP3 download, or if there are websites for it. And there is an app for both iPhone and android called "Play Tube". i think i mentioned it in a different post, but i'll explain again. It is free, and it is just Youtube. The special thing about Play Tube is that you can cache videos you watch so you can watch them offline later. Be careful though, if you dont want a certain video cached, you just want to watch it, then delete the cache after. You have no idea how much space it can take up if you don't delete them. What does this have to do with brainwaves, you ask? Like i said, there are Binaural sessions on youtube. |

This is the website i used when i was experimenting with the iso tones (they're free): |

I'm not so sure about these, but I'll keep an open mind. One thing that I find interesting and sort of neat is that after they end, all sound that I hear sounds slightly tinny and echoey for a while. |
