Please need advise on proper supplement order missing anything?

What's up dreamers excited to join this forum. I've known about lucid dreaming for couple of years now and the idea really intrigued me but after couple failed attempts I thought it was to hard . Recently I reconnected with an old friend of mine and he gave me a bottle of galantamine/ choline .. So now I'm gonna take this further ...I don't smoke ciggaretts or weed anymore which effect your memory and dreams or so they say....and hardly drink alcohol.. It's Friday right now .....to ready my brain for Monday night I will be dieting blueberry/ blackberry s/ black currants/ tuna rich in omega 3s / b6 / melatonin / nuts/ hot tea / cheese / star fruit/ and pomegranate juice till then all known nootropic foods witch help you brain with memory and raw materials for neurotransmitters etc. on Monday I plan to go to the gym as usuall then come home eat blueberrys/ tuna/ cheese/ chamomile tea/ plus take 5-10 mg of melatonin with 100 mg of b-6 and drink neuro sleep which has melatonin / 5 htp / L- thiamine then wake up 5 hours later and 8mg of galantamine- choline 200 pill by life enhancements ..... SO am I doing this the right way and am I missing something should I take anything else with the galantamine pill when I wake up...... Will post results

Concentrating on brain-health is a great way to go. Avoiding junk food is important IMO.

For the supplements, I recommend reading Yuschak's "Advanced Lucid Dreaming: the power of supplements" to get the solid background of how these substances affect the brain and guidelines on the proper time to take them.

melatonin and 5-HPT are"bedtime" supplements, since they suppress REM sleep and promote deep sleep. The theory is that suppressing REM in the first half of the night results in "REM rebound" in the 2nd half of the night, so dreaming periods become longer and closer together. They also help in falling asleep at bedtime (well melatonin does for me, can't say 5-HTP does). But you need to spread out the use of melatonin/5-HTP with the galantamine because since they suppress REM you won't be dreaming while they're active.

galantamine/choline mixes are best taken after about 5 hours of sleep, so that they'll be active during your most active dreaming time. But they can cause insomnia so you need to figure out the best time to take them to still get back to sleep in time to dream while they're active. Again, Yuschak's book has graphs on the plasma levels of these substances and the decay rate.

Supplement use takes a lot of eperimentation, and they affect everyone differently, so plan to keep detailed records to find out what works for you.

And as Sageous said in the introductory thread you posted, think of these as "pushes" to help get you to lucidity, but not as a means to lucidity all on their own. In order to get lucid you really need to invest in the daytime awareness and memory work. And do not underestimate the benefit of WBTB.

WBTB means "wake back to bed", it's where you wake up for a while, do quiet activities (think about LDig, meditate) and then go back to sleep. When you go to sleep after waking up a little bit you have more awareness. LD research showed that this can boost the %age likelyhood of lucidity by quite a lot (and many DV members agree that this helps quite a bit). Generally around the 5th hour after bed is the recommended time since after that your REM cycles start to get longer and closer together. There's a lot of introductory material here on DV, you should definitely check it out since it covers all the basics like WBTB. How long you stay up depends on how quickly you wake up. A lot with lucid dreaming is experimenting and finding out the ideal timing of things like WBTB (when to get up? For how long?)

A couple times now after galantamine and choline I have a bit of a headache during the next day. I felt fairly dizzy a lot of the day after taking just 5-HTP the other night at bedtime.
