Blue lotus - who has experience with this and its effects on lucid dreaming?

Blue lotus - I think this plant has great potential as a dream aid, but i cant find much info on it here on dream views. I just obtained 20g of dried flowers and had a cone of it last night before bed and had some beautifully long and vivid non lucid dreams which i had excellent recall of. Nuciferine is the active ingredient and its a strange chemical. It seems to sedate but stimulate at the same time and is very euphoric. Ive read it has opiate like effects too. Id love to hear what every one has to say about this plant and their experiences

From experience (decades ago) it helps with sleep and has mild closed eye visuals with light euphoria. It made for interesting basic colors and feeling in a dream like state. I doubt it has much use in lucid dreaming.

I thought that since it sedates and doesnt seem to supress rem could be good for wilding? It gave me very clear long dreams which i remembered well too. I had also smoked quite a bit of pot earlyer in the night ( about 2 hrs before the lotus ) and normally the nights i do that i have terrible recall and my dreams become short and blurry and i somtimes wont dream at all. Im going to smoke some more tonight and see how it effects my drems when theres no active thc in me.

It's far better to not learn to rely on any supplements. However, I find caffeine does do a fine job if you drink it immediately before you pass out.

I have recently gotten hold of Blue Lotus, and have so far tried it twice.

The first time, I let it steep in (initially) hot water and a little vodka for several hours, and then drank it at WBTB-time. The result was no dreams what so ever, and though my mind woke up at the regular time, my body felt sedated for about three hours after I had gotten up out of bed.

The second time was last night, where I drank an infusion of 0,5 grams each of Blue Lotus and Oat straw. At WBTB-time I took 1 tsp. Lecithin granules and 100 mg Caffeine. The result was a very pleasant night, and one lucid dream.

So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?
