      Applejuice, Vitamin B6, Valerian Root

So I've been experimenting with some items...

First evening I drank applejuice before going to sleep, which gave me a vivid dream.

Second evening, applejuice, and vitamin B6, which gave me a vivid dream as well.

Then I tried the valerean root with it as well, and I remembered up to 4, vivid, long dreams.

How is any of this stuff working out for you guys?

So far, it didn't get me lucid yet, but the vivid dreams did get me extra motivated.

Also, what I found to be funny was, that, a few minutes after taking the valerean root, I got really REALLY drowsy, and almost fell asleep instantly.

Apple juice has an amazing effect on dream vividness for me, which is good - I hate taking supplements. x_x They taste bad. And I can't swallow pills.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Ok, so after a few more nights of Vitamin B, Applejuice, and Valerian Root, I really noticed a GREAT change in the vividness of my dreams.

Last night, I had one of the most vivid dreams I think I ever had. I can remember stuff with so much detail.. I was AMAZED when I remembered.

I'd like to hear other reactions of people that have used these items. Especially about Valerian root, since I heard a great deal about it, yet can't find alot about it on DV.

Well I'd certainly be willing to experiment with this. I'm excited by your results.

I bought some Vitamin B6 which has somewhat consistently produced more vivid dreams, i've not tried the apple juice though of course I have some. My questions to you are:

Where can I get this Valerian Root, and what's your timing for taking these things...how long before bed?

I take mine around half an hour to an hour before bed, to get it into my system enough... Uh, and I think you can get valerian root at a health store? Not sure though.

Your local pharmacy, or even Walmart. They carry all the basic vitamins/supplements.

      re:

I've also been using supplements to induce vivid dreams / LDs. I've had amazing success for the past 2 months.

My daily vitamins are: A multi-vitamin, store-brand, a b-complex (so my body is happy with the amount of b vitamins during the day.)

at nighttime, I take 2 530mg tablets of valerian root about an hour before I go to bed... this helps in producing drowsiness. I also take 250mg of magnesium and sometimes about .25 mg melatonin (rarely, i think i'll experiment in the morning with a WBTB melatonin/valerian/b6 combo)

.... with a WBTB i'll pop my b6 and 2 tablets of valerian root as soon as I wake up, stay up 45mins-1hour and go back to sleep.

The results: amazing dream recall, increase vividness. quite a few LDs.

You can buy b6 supplements in any Vitamins isle at your local drug store / Kroger / Walmart / Walgreens etc.

You can buy valerian root tablets in the same section.

I got them at a local drug store

I couldn't get Vitamin B6 ALONE there, so I got a complex, with a high supplement of B6 in it, which seems to be working out for me.

Last 2 nights, more vivid dreams. Its amazing.

I tried apple juice a few weeks back. I had several glasses throughout the night. Disappointing night, no LDs and no vivid dreams.

Last night I tried B6 (100mg) for the first time. I took it at 8.30pm. In between approx 12 midnight and 1am I had one of my best LDs. (I'm finding - contrary to what I've been told many times - that I can often LD on my first REM period.) I may try taking the B6 again tonight, though at a later time. Eventually I'll try it on WBTB, but my WBTB record is poor at the moment. If I continue to get results like I had last night I'll be more than happy to continue with B6 alone.

(NB: I got my B6 from Holland and Barrett.)

      Great to hear mate.

If I may ask, how did you get Lucid in your dream? Did you RC? Or anything?

A bit tricky to answer, but I'll have a go.

My wife got out of bed because she thought there was an intruder. I got out of bed too. All this happened at my parents' house which never struck me as odd. When I woke I was a bit angry with myself for missing this, so vowed to RC if it happened again. Luckily, more or less the same thing happened again quite quickly and this time I caught it (I'd class it as a FA) with nose-pinch RC.

This LD was interesting for me, because usually I have a fair idea I'm lucid before I RC, but last night I needed the RC to be sure and even then I was shocked to be able to breathe during the nose-pinch.

I've found that beans (like Bush's baked beans) or cranberry-raspberry juice has worked well. I usually have cran-rasp juice about 30mins before bed watch Family Guy, then go to bed and I've been averaging at least 3 dreams a night. I seem to have 1-2 that are very short and one that's long(sometimes have 2 long ones)

I've also been trying milk to see what it could do
      Dreams Recalled since 10-31-09: 776
Best Recall in One Night: 8 (12-25-10).
      DILDs: 8 (2-26-11); MILDs: 4 (7-28-10)

Great job! I do love the nose pinch RC..Whenever I become lucid it's usually my Reality Check of choice, to verify.

I'm really glad to hear this. I've got a large school break coming up so I'll certainly be doing a lot napping/ WBTB'ing combined with some of these ideas.

I have pure B6, and so far, only good results, so I plan on seeing if it remains consistent..thanks for the feedback!

As reccomended in My DJ, try the AJ Bro!

Had my most vivid dream in months thanks to the AJ that I took the other night. (I made a fictional character REAL! :0)
