It felt literally real, was I lucid?

I woke up this morning, set my alarm clock for school again, wrote inside my dream journal about my dreams and got up brushed my teeth and ate breakfast and also changed. Then all of a sudden it got strange, people were there who don't even live with me. After I got yelled at to "HURRY UP" I woke up in an instant, and realized this was just a dream. Then I got up, did the whole thing over, but it was actually happening. I checked my alarm clock, which wasn't set. My dream journal had been empty for that morning, and it freaked me out.

I wasn't in control, but was this a semi-lucid dream? When I woke up from it, it was like I woke up from a dream that happened half a second ago.

I would say no. The strange sensation that "woah that was all just a dream?" means that it wasn't a lucid dream. You had to think back and analyze the strange experience and deem it a dream. This is not lucid dreaming. This is realizing something was a dream just too late for true lucidity to kick in.

On a different note, ever since I have been recording dreams, every once in a while I have dreams that I am writing in my dream journal in the early morning...Any way we can catch these in their tracks as dreams? I am not sure...

Did you realize it was a dream while you were still in it? If you realized you were dreaming after you woke up from it, it was not a lucid.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

But still, it kind of occured to me that it was a dream, but no lucidity clicked.

What you experienced is a False Awakening. One reason it is important to do reality checks,
because you will most likely become lucid if you do.

Yeah it's a good habit to always to a RC when you wake up. Every one of my wilds have started with false awakenings. I've also had the getting ready in the morning and then woken up and was very frustrated with myself.

I'm working on WILDing and I am highly expecting my first WILD experience to be a FA
I have the numb body thing down, I've even got to the point where its quite difficult to
breathe. I just gotta get the rest of the way.
