a feel good story about LDing

Last winter break I flew home from college and spent it at the house where I grew up. When I had to return to school, I said goodbye to my 2 dogs and the family. Yesterday, my dog (at age 12) had to be put down. Because I live so far away, I wasnt able to see her again. Our whole family was there at the vet, and my mom put the phone near my dog's ear so I could say goodbye on the phone. This has been really hard for me. That night I had an LD that started in the house where I grew up. So when I saw my dog, I ran over and got to pet and love her again. My mother and brother (although only DCs) were with me petting her too. I was so happy to get the chance to play with my dog again. The dream only lasted like 3 minutes, but it was enough. I guess this is one of the perks of LDing. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

OT: Yes, I've just recently started summoning my dream companion; My mom's dead dog. He was around 1 year old when we had to put him down, and I was still living with my mom back then. Was great to see him again, but "luckily" I hadn't gotten too attached to him. Sorry for your loss! May your dog live on in your dreams and protect you forever.

thanks for moving it. i tried to put a picture of my dog, but i dont know how to make the photo smaller when i cant save the image to my computer (compatibility problems and i generally suck at this stuff). she was a golden and her name was maggie
