Getting sleepy in a lucid dream?

Is this actually possible? And how do I avoid it

I took a nap, and dreamt that I was with Bear Grylls, attempting to sneak into a facility. After walking around it a couple times, looking for loose planks, I was like "Hey, how did I get here?" I did a nose-pinch reality check, and sure enough, I could breathe. The dream had been stable and clear until I realised that, but then it began to get all dizzy and blurry. I rubbed my hands together, imagined the heat emerging. But I got sleepier and sleepier (inside a dream?) and couldn't keep my eyes open.
I woke up in my bed, and my house was full of guests, apparently some girl that I've been talking to was my girlfriend and her friends were over too. I walked to the toilet to take a piss, but couldn't. Then I was like "Hey, wait a minute" and woke up.

If you're getting sleepy in your dream, then it could be a good way to go lucid if you notice that you're getting sleepy for no reason. Just a theory, haven't been able to try it because I only had my first LD last night.

What do you mean? I lost lucidity after falling asleep if that's what you mean

I mean that while you're falling asleep you could go lucid and possibly stop it. I bet that if you just say "increase lucidity" it'll stop. That's what kept my 1st LD going on for around 30 minutes when it started fading.

Closing your eyes in lucid makes you wake-up instantly. I tried it once and don't want to repeat it again. xD

I experienced this too. The odd thing is, as soon as I got lucid in this dream, I got really sleepy and couldn't keep them open. When they closed, my reward was a false awakening.

I had a really weird dream the other night that my eyes were closed, but I could still see. I thought I was magic and walked around for a bit, then realised something had changed and this woke me up

not really relavant, but a weird dream

This isn't always true. When I was younger(like 8 or 9) and had lucid dreams I had zero dream control(I still have zero dream control). So when ish hit the fan and the dream started getting scary I tried many techniques to wake up and thinking about waking up and/or closing my eyes didn't help. My method of choice usually ended up being killing myself.

Closing my eyes in a dream will, most of the times, wake me up from my dream unless I have another anchor to it. An example would be a noisy noisy dream (as long as it does not come from the waking life ), or tactile sensations such as rubbing my hand on a brick wall.

      Back the the op's topic...

Maybe a WILD technique would work from inside the dream to keep your lucidity between the dreams. WILDs from a dream to the next tends to be easier than from the waking life, in my case.

I've gotten sleepy quite a few times in my dreams, though usually not lucid ones. I've also been knocked out a few times. I think that if you believe that you will wake up if you close your eyes in a dream you will be more likely too. When I close my eyes in a dream I don't wake up. All that usually happens is that the scene changes or I just remain where I was.

I actually felt sleepy in the dream I had just last night. I was already lucid when I started feeling sleepy (I haven't gotten around to typing this dream up yet), and the feeling started a moment after I started really focusing on the fact that I was dreaming. I closed my eyes within the dream, then remembered that that usually ends a dream prematurely and forced myself to open them again. The dream continued, and I no longer felt sleepy.
Short-term lucid goals: [X] Move an object with my mind [ ] Create a portal and use it to get to a dream scene of my choice [ ] Meet one of my book characters

Long-term lucid goals: [ ] Visit the Dream World Academy [ ] Make a building appear at will [ ] Change my appearance to disguise myself as someone else [ ] Find the end of a rainbow

When I close my eyes in dreams for a short while I stay asleep just fine. Once I saw through my eyelids. My method of waking from a dream (Usually I only do this when I'm lucid but not lucid enough for control, or if it's a nightmare) is squinching my eyes shut really hard for as long as it takes.
      Goals:
Teleport to the world of Avatar, (Not the TV show, the movie) or really just teleport at all: [ ]
      Control people's emotions: [ ]
Become lucid in three separate dreams in one night: [ ]

I've also experienced closing my eyes in a dream and then waking up. The first time, it was unintentional on my part; the second time, it was intentional on my part. (The instances of me closing my eyes and then waking up are at the ends of the two DJ entries I linked to.)
