Thread: Had my first proper LD, More than an hour long!

Well, I've been snooping around this site for a long long long time and havent had a major LD yet. The futherest I'd gone was 5 seconds , but tonight it was different.

I just got back from boarding school and watched the film the alamo in bed, then i went to sleep. I was having a weird dream about hiding from Santa anna when I suddenly thought 'What the hell am i doing here?' I then became lucid. At first it was really hard to move because it was like i was on a iphone app. The graphics were shit and it was hard to move. So in my mind i smashed the iphone and then could move properly and it was more realistic. I kinda took the LD to quickly, as i didn't look and realise my surroundings. (I havent been on DV for like 4 months) Anyway, I decided to go to the market town and boarding house where my school is, What happened next was an hour of wickied LD'ing.

Here is some examples:

- Flying, Didn't get very high Kinda flopped around
- I was tempted to summon Mike Myers but thought it could go wrong XD
-Teleikinikis, Pushing people into walls
-Sex, x3
-Driving a 4x4 ferrari/landrover
-The police tried to kill me
-Beat up some chavs

I know what i did wrong in this LD, so here are some tips.
For flying, believe you can do it! + concentrate real hard.
Believe that you can do anything, but think it through! e.g for the force push i used physics i knew in RL, for example when i was pushing someone accross the road with my mind I imagined what force was required and from wht direction , with arrows in my mind .
I lost lucidity at points, but always regained it.
The major thing i did wrong was that i went through everything to fast, because ithought it would end real quick, so take it slow! REAL SLOW! Just appreciated the beauty of the dream, dont rush around to go kill someone!

oh, biggest thing to do in a Ld is just to concentrate real hard

Sounds like one great night! I can't wait to read the rest. I know what you mean about the flying. I knew it wouldn't work because I could feel myself being skeptical. I'll keep in mind to take things slow as well. Congrats~

Holy wow....I think after an LD of that length I would collapse with exhaustion

Waking Nomad, Ill copy the dream up from my journal now. Must say I got kinda bored in the dream as I didn't know that looking at hands made the dream much more detailed and realistic, so it kinda seemed unreal. Which sucked, my ld 2 nights ago was like blue ray frrom studtying my hands, to bad it was short

I think time gose faster in dreams. So in real life if you do something that would take 1 hour, it would take twice as long or more in a dream. I jsut think its like that from personal experience but i could be wrong.
