(WILD) First lucid with false awakening? Need help with wierd SP problems

So for the last 3 days I've been trying to go lucid. Last night I tried Jeff777s WILD technique along with the slight pain technique for an anchor. Sorry about the long read

At night when I was falling asleep about 30 minutes in I started getting SP counting up between slow breaths, I never got past 20 before SP started. Problem is I kept losing it sort of. I would do the slow breathing and count, I would start the feel the heaviness and some other stuff, my mind would become more aware at that point and then after it getting a bit more intense it would fade away. This happened 5 times and was really frustrating. I got really close on one, I tried to feel like I was walking into a dream world and it felt like I was moving through darkness a bit. Then I became aware of my breathing and the SP faded out after a minute. I got tired of doing it and went to sleep.

Woke up 4.5 hours later, stayed up for a minute, used jeff777s guide along with a dull pain anchor. Same thing happened with SP 2-3 times, so i decided to just use the pain anchor and go to sleep.

I was in a super vivid dream walking outside of a futuristic strip mall, lit up with hundreds of bright lights. It was night. I broke in and heard alarms, ran from the bank section of the strip mall to this chinese restaurant area. Through the window I say 2 cops riding these wierd looking bikes that were lit up and painted light blue/red. I smashed through one of the windows to get out, thats when I became lucid I think. All of a sudden I was in a huge mall probably 100x the size of the one before. The ceilings were about 100 feet up. I completely forgot to stabilize and tried to fly. I imagined being pushed and i was able to fly really quickly. Then i smashed into the ceiling fell to the ground. I then woke up and didnt recognize it was a false awakening. Woke up in my bed, found this cellphone near my bed that wasnt mine, and left to give it to that person. There were tons of things that looking back on should have told me it was a dream, so I dont know why I didnt go lucid.

Anyways. Anybody have similar problems with SP? I feel like im so close to walking into the dream world that its just annoying when i lose it. I dont know if getting SP as often as I am is uncommon?

Once SP sets in like this, try to act as if nothing unusual is happening. Just continue to relax and carry on with the technique. If you bring all of your attention to SP and start thinking about what is happening, this is likely whats causing your SP to break. When SP sets in, you are beginning to fall asleep. If your mind becomes to0 active at this point, you will fully wake back up (break SP). You really just have to go with it and allow SP do to whatever it wants as you continue the technique.

Yeah thats what I try. Problem is as soon as it happens I always become more awake and once i start the counting between breaths It's hard to stop, my mind doesnt continue breathing automatically, so I think focusing on the breathing is what stops the SP maybe.

Yoshi is right. Just ride along with any weird sensations you are feeling. Don't try to force it. You will enter a dream eventually. Sometimes I slip in and out of dreams and weird hypnagogia several times before I finally enter a stable dream.
