4th Lucid story for anyone who's interested

hey guys. so far ive had three lucids, the first one being the longest at 10 seconds.. its been awhile since i've had one even though ive never stopped learning during this time. yesterday i pretty much told myself that with all the knowledge i have of lucid dreams, i can definitely have one. it kind of felt like a block was removed, preventing me from having them.

instead of repeating a bunch of "i will realize when i'm dreaming!" before going to bed, i just trusted it all to my will, knowing i can do it. finally it happened. what i remember is dreaming about how i wanted to lucid dream. i was talking to my friend about it who is also trying to do it. so in my dream i went to bed and then immediately "opened my eyes" and saw the dream world i was in.

i was hovering about six ft. in the air in some kind of ancient city. i quickly looked away and started examining my hands and rubbed them together. i was about 80% lucid during all of this. i think this because my mind and body started doing things on their own. i became really happy but stayed calm and started swimming through the air, sadly not bothering to look back at the city. after around 7 seconds i woke up.

all in all i was really happy about this lucid for a couple reasons. not only was this my first lucid in at least a month and a half, but it also happened on a weeknight for the first time. what really sucks was waking up half an hour late for work though lol. im sorry to say it was worth it however!

My new approach to lucid dreaming is constantly telling your self you won't wake up. It seems to be extending my lucids to be long enough that I can get stuff done.

Great Job! Keep it up and your lucids will get longer. When you realize your lucid try to stimulate all your senses. Good job rubbing your hands and spinning. Just take a deep breath and look at your surroundings. Touch the ground. Look for something you can taste, or smell the air. Keep it up and good luck!
