      Hallucinate

Yesterday night I was trying to sleep, and I was pretty drowsy when I suddenly, out of the air, visualized a desktop organizer ( you know those things where you put pencils, pens, scissors etc) Suddenly, a strong wind made my window slam agains the wall, and made me open my eyes. And there, on my nightstand stood exactly the same desktop organizer that I had visualized, just on neon light. I was shocked, and stared at the organizer for several seconds before it faded away.

I was not in some kind of SP and not VERY drowsy. So does anyone Know what this was?

I tend to call it something along the lines of "residual dream imagery.' I've experienced it (and lingering sounds from dreams, after I wake up), a couple of times, and it can actually be very scary, depending on what you're seeing/hearing. After waking up from one dream, in particular, I then sat up straight in bed, and still heard the people that were outside my window and threatening to break in and kill me (in the dream) for maybe 10 seconds after I was fully awake. Also (especially when I was little) some of the things I would see in my dreams would kind of 'bleed over' into the waking world, for the first few moments, after I woke up.

It seems that, sometimes, our waking world senses don't always kick in, at the same time. It's like it takes a moment for the mind to adjust to waking up. Ever been in a fading lucid dream, and felt your bed in the waking world? Or heard music or other sounds that were playing in the waking world, as they entered your dream? It's pretty much the same concept, but in reverse.

That is so awesome. It's stuff like that that makes you question these neat little boxes of "real" and "not real" that we categorize things in. Very cool.

Well, there are in this case two distinct possibilities. Either 1) you are Nikola Tesla, or 2) you experienced lingering hypnagogic imagery, which I've heard numerous people describe having experienced. Which of the two is anyone's guess.

      Aah

I have this constantly let me tell you it can be pretty scary sometimes. Its when you are drifting off to sleep then something brings you back. Your eyes open before you mind properly comes back. I have hallucinations of spiders right next to my face, swarms of flies coming at me etc. Very scary as for a couple of seconds, you forget you are just hallucinating. This is made me get up and sleep with the lights on on many occasions.

I get these relativly often, and at this point don't fear them but rather get curious when I realise it isn't real, and trying to touch it will usually make it go away.

This is kinda funny, because a while ago, I experienced waking up in the middle of the night, looking directly into a huge, light yellow spider right in fronton me. I got so scared that I had problems falling asleep after that

happened to me once, I woke up, looked at my brothers bed and saw him standing up. The hallucination faded away and I saw that he was still asleep.
I was so much older then, I'm younger then that now.

Hello again. This hallucination have now happened to tmore time since my last post: The first time, I was seeing a glowing ball of colored bands or something, just like this, only more thicker and rounder bands:
The other time, I was seeing a lot of measuring instruments you use on the kitchen(cant remember the name...) like this:

Only wrapped in plastic bags, with a light shining on them (Logical, I know...)
Anyway, both of the hallucinations faded away after a few seconds, I tried to touch the glowing ball, but the picture got on my hand instead.

Recently I've also experienced some sounds and pictures that have not been there before when I've tried to sleep, a little like those hallucinations. Is this HH?
