      2nd lucid dream.

I'm so glad this site is back up! Good job Alex.

The other night I had my 2nd DILD. I actually got a DILD without even trying... I was trying out FILD which I can't seem to get.

I was in my toilet and I saw myself do a RC in third person The only problem I have is after I started at my hands for super amounts of stabilization (it feels insane) I just walked around my house for a while? I remember wanting to fly and I was in some sort of sewers type building and then I woke up.

I woke up with my eyes closed which is different! Anyway, I'm gonna swap to MILD, I think that it will work best for me from my experience so far.

Congrats! How long have you been working on FILDs? If it's only been a week or less I wouldn't abandon it yet. Give it at least two weeks each time you try out a new method, preferably close to a month. Some take longer and I know of a few people who work on certain methods for months at a time and don't get any success, and then it all suddenly works. If you've given it a lot of time, though, then maybe switching to MILD would work for you

Yeah, still a bit mixed. It's been about a week. I can't seem to remember it a lot of the time. Or forget to do the RC (I can't be in a dream yet, I'm still falling asleep!). I should stick to it a bit longer I suppose.

Edit: I usually would give it more time, It's just that a lot of people seemed to report early success with it. I'll still keep trying on FILD though.

      Moved thread to Lucid Experiences
Congrats on your lucid. You did mention that you got lucid without trying, however, if you want to keep your lucid consistent, it's much advised that you keep practicing your reality checks and questioning reality. Though you'd still get the spontaneous lucid every so often, this wouldn't be nearly as consistent.
      Congrats again

Sorry about thread spot. Yeah this one was unintentional. I'm having trouble remembering about FILD when I wake up lol. If I can't do it in a few nights i'm gonna have to look for a way to remind myself.

I have woken up out of dreams with my eyes closed as well. A good little tip that may work for you as it worked for me is to try using DEILD at this point. If you wake up with your eyes closed it makes it much easier, at least for me. DEILD, in case you don't already know is dream exit induced lucid dream. Basically, you wake up from a dream and do not move and go right back to sleep and fall back into the dream or another dream. I prefer to call this dream re-entry though.

I've heard about DEILD but I'm not too sure on the recall side of it. My recall is far from good (it's bad) and I thought I remembered you had to fall back asleep remembering the last dream and becoming lucid in it or something.

Yea, it's something like that. But if you can naturally wake up directly from an rem sleep cycle it will be easier to remember your dream considering you're waking up directly from it. If you can't wake up naturally..than you can set an alarm to wake you up 4-6 hours after falling asleep, if you're willing to do this. That wakes you up during REM sleep because most people experience REM sleep the last 2-4 hours of sleep, and most dreams occur during REM so waking up directly from it can improve your chances of recalling the dream you just had. If you have any more questions about recall or anything just let me know and I will see if I can help you out.

Hmm, I do WBTB every night for FILD lol. I haven't remembered lately but I realised I could be recalling dreams when I do that I'll start trying to recall dreams after I wake up from wbtb.
