First Lucid on a School Night!

I HAD MY 1ST LD ....that I didn't wake up from immediately. I don't remember waking up in the middle of the night, so it could have been a DILD or a DEILD but I remember having two dreams before that. I looked at my phone, after I hung up with my cousin, and his name was completely different than what I have him listed as. I realized I was in a dream. I'm surprised I didn't get overly excited but I was happy and I stabilized right away by rubbing my hands together.
I won't go into everything I did in the dream (in this thread) but
One piece of advice for those who haven't been lucid yet...
DON'T WASTE it trying to find an exgf dc or shit like that.. I didn't even take the time to look at my surroundings! i was so selfish wanting to do stuff I could do irl any day. I know there's more to come, but since mine are unpredictable I wish I would have explored my conscious or surroundings/dream senses etc.

Still . Overall, the experience was well worth the failed attempts and false awakenings.

And I totally know what you mean about wasting a lucid dream on past relationships. There's tons more one can do in an LD. However, I understand the temptation to go down that road. That said, I can tell you from experience, it's cathartic to resolve past issues in a lucid dream. And the good news is, once that's done, you get to do so much more. Lucid dreams get to be your genie lamp in a way. Make a wish and make it so. You don't HAVE to resolve issues in a lucid dream, but if you need to, then go for it. Hopefully after this, you can say "Enough now," and move on to adventures you couldn't imagine in your wildest dreams. Forgive the pun
