Thread: lucid natural?? (possibly)

Some people pick it up easier than others. I have had considerable success learning new abilities in waking life, and have had pretty good success (by my standards) with lucid dreaming as well. But it's different for everybody. Maybe you're just a born natural (which can happen), and if that's the case I envy and congratulate you! =D

i had one that was a good 5 minutes, well thats what it felt like, but then i lost lucidity and it continued for a little longer, the other was about 30 seconds, and i had another last nite for another 30 seconds, soo now it would be 3/6 i think

So did you lucid dream before or after you joined this site? If you've been naturally lucid dreaming all your life or atleast for a good few years, then I'd say you are a natural however if you have only had lucids after finding this site then I'd say it was just luck or practise.

Perhaps you can give the rest of us some tips?

Now that you've got entering lucidity down, you should work on control. 5 minutes is short by a lot of people's standards and 30 seconds is just a flash. You should go for longer time periods and set yourself specific goals for what you would like to do in your dreams.

Maybe you are a lucid natural. But on the other hand, many people including myself have a few lucids within days of visiting the site! Keep it up though, because you won't know if you're a natural unless you have lucids on the brain!

Um mabye you are a natural. some people have been having lucid dreams all their life and just find out that they have some ability that thousands of peopple struggle to learn.

Maybe you are a natural. Or maybe you're not. Many people have had LDs all their life but just pass it off as a nice dream since they don't know what LDs are at the time. When they find DV or anyone else for that matter, they seem to have a temporary jump in LDs [it's something I've noticed] and/or they notice that it's an LD. It's your call really, only you and your LD count/frequency can answer that question.

I have been having lucid dreams for alot of my life, only a few I can remember because my problem is dream recall. And yes my control is what realy needs work. I have realy wanted to fly and that is what may be hurting me. Every time I try, I fail and wake soo im trying to stick to simpler tasks. I just became alot more lucid after I joined the site, possibly because it was the same time alot of stress was releived, maybe because I was thinking about lucid dreaming after reading the fourms every night, or maybe just luck. Either way I'm happy with it and am continuing this nice lucid streak.

Your first post suggests you have only had 2 LDs but your last suggests you have been doing it for a lot of your life?

Also, I know you might not think so, but some of the newer members might find your signature a little annoying, since some people do have difficulty in attaining lucidity, so might find it like your rubbing their face in it.
