      Lucid Space

Who here has been lucid in outer space?
I had a goal before to visit Earth's moon, all of the planets in the solar system, and the sun. I've been on the moon a few times. Of the planets I've been on Mercury, Mars, and close to Saturn. I tried to fly into the sun but couldn't so made the sun crash down into me instead, which doesn't really count I suppose. I've also just floated through space on several occasions. Outerspace has always been a challenge for me. Are you a dream astronaught? Would you share your stories here? What places have you lucidly visited outside of earth?

      I liked reading that.

Only wanted to say I do think that "making the sun crash into you" instead, should count. The principle of moving space around us to reach a location is a typical sci-fi hypothesis for faster-than-light travel. See the space drive in games like Elite: Dangerous and shows like Futurama. The explanation of how they work is very simply, just that they move space around them.

I didn't know moving space around someone was a 'thing'. I'll check your suggestions out. They may help me in dreams soon to come. Thank-you. When I think back on it, moving the sun to me was so much easier and quicker than me trying to fly to it. Lesson learned.

Last night a companion dream character and I attempted to fly to Venus. I spun her around and launched her at the planet and I simply blasted off for it as if I had rockets in my feet. The companion was almost to Venus when the planet swung open like a round flat door in the sky. A man popped out and shouted in a strange langauge at my companion and she fell from the sky. I was torn between continuing on to Venus and saving my companion. I chose to save my companion.

Yes, I'd read that dream of yours on your workbook at some point, I think today or yesterday... I was curious about the man, because I don't know what associations you would make with Venus, but for some reason it made me think of the "men are from Mars, women are from Venus" saying, I think in part because it seemed to me like that man was an antagonist in the dream's context.

Interesting dream anyway. If I'm honest I can't say I'd be all to excited to fly in lucid dreams, with only my own body or with wings or basically something "attached to me" in some sense, be it in space or air. Something about flying with the aid of a machine seems far more interesting to me, such as with a jet, rocket, spaceship, etc.

What were the rocket boots like for you, anyway? Did the "flying" sensation feel particularly different to last time?

Hello DarkestDarkness. I never made the Men are from Mars connection, thanks for offering that up. Gives me something to think about. For me, I associate love with Venus. I wondered if the man in Venus was there to thwart any merging of the male/female selves? Or to stop the woman from getting to love? I don't know. He sure felt like an antagonist. Hope I meet him again. Machine assisted flying is cool ibut I never think to use it when I'm lucid. I just leap and hope for the best. The rocket boot thing was new for me. I liked it. It was effortless and smooth. My usual attempts at flying are almost always an awkward struggle. This dream, all the flying was strangely effortless. Was nice for a change.

Got there again. No rocket boots this time.
I stepped around in a circle and hummed. Slowly I rose up into the night sky. I would instantly be back on earth again if I looked down. So between humming and trying to stay lucid I also struggled to not look down. I stepped higher and higher and soon was surrounded by stars that were little orbs of light (not massive suns millions of miles away) that sparkled close by. I felt that if I reached out and poked one, it would sway back and forth as if dangling from an invisible string. They also twinkled in patterns that made me think they were communicating with each other and with me. Their langauge light. It was also somehow lyrical though they made no sounds.
