      Retake and Undo

      Do you ever do "retakes" in your dreams? Where something will happen in your dream, then you will make it happen again differently because you don't like the outcome. I spend a lot of time using computer design programs at work. You get used to hitting the undo button every five minutes. I do this in my dreams too.

      Last night, for example. I was in a garage, and I wanted to escape. I flew up and blasted through the roof in a spectacularly messy explosion of wood and roof shingles. Then, a second later, I was back on the ground for "take two". This time, I flew up to the ceiling, and landed on a storage shelf suspended from the ceiling. The dream continued from there.

      Anyone else do this?

      Haha, yes! I do it quite often, actually. I recently had this strange lucid dream where I was at some kind of summer camp, and I randomly went to the girls' bathroom. I didn't have much control, and as soon as I had entered, a group of naked and half naked men ran in, grabbed me and tried to shove me into a large garbage can. I quickly rewinded to the point where I was close to entering the bathroom, and this time I just passed it.

      Thats a great way of describing it. Reloading your save point to try again or try something different.

      I do that too. Kind of like rebooting the dream. That or I simply dissolve the DC and scenery involved and replace them the way I want it to be.
