Well, this obviously is not the case for everyone; just to make that clear. |

Funny. One of the first dreams that I recorded in my DJ had 8-bit graphics. It was like one of the first Zelda games. |
Hmm. Actually, I think it was yesterday, I had a dream where I was in something that seemed very much like GTA San Andreas, I was driving a fire fighter kindof car, using random things as ramps. I remember it looked like GTA down to the detail that the world would 'pop' up when going at high speeds, because the game had to load. |
One time after playing an unhealthy amount of Counter Strike:Source, like 7-8 hours, i had dreams all night where i was in CS. It was really tedious and i do not like dreaming about video games. Although I was getting some amazing head shots. |
I've always wanted to know that. If it's a dream that uses a game environment, and when you turn the corner, what would your mind do? Continue the schema and create hallways with that same 'game' type feel, or make a real hallway? |
Dreams are made of what you experience throughout the day. Sometimes I can waste an entire game playing video games and if that's all I do, that's what my dreams will be about. |
I would have to agree that too many video games do equal bad lucid dreams. For instance, I got a copy of NHL 07 for my PSP, and have been playing it obsessively for the past week. Last night, when I had a long lucid dream, I could have done anything, but instead, I surfed the net for the whole time I was in the dream. I feel like I wasted a huge opportunity. Maybe my technology obsession carried over into my dream. |

Special thanks to maniakalBycikle for the sig!
Yeah I also have many video game dreams, it's cool sometimes but pretty annoying most of the time. I'd rather have a real life dream. |

Try to meditate before going to sleep. That would erase the negative effets of videogames. |

I had a dream last night that I was having a lucid dream while in a game of Halo 2...but I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT graphics card..lol....and I play Halo 2 A LOT!!! |
Halo 3 has destroyed many of my dreams. I go to bed with the images running through my mind. My dreams are the same way, just random Halo play that has no significance to anything. I get so pissed in the morning when all I remeber experiancing is Halo. I never become lucid in a Halo dream and I rarely ever have any control. |
I do have dreams about games I have played. but I had this on halo dream where I was kicking butt as the master chief |

I think if Darth Vader show up in my dream I would die

I spent four or so days playing tetris for about 2-3 hours apiece. I ended up dreaming about tetris, and I would flit through solutions to tetris problems. |
Hah! That sucks! I have a similar experience. Sometimes stuff turns cartonish, or the texture of grass morphs from individual blades to solid green carpet. To fix this, get out in the real world more. Better graphics, less lag. |

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."
After last night I'm even more convinced that video game dreams are amazing. I had a fallout 3 themed one and the only bad part about it, was that I woke up knowing that the game couldnt be as good as what I dreamt |
I played all the way through Portal in one sitting today... hoping for similarly themed dream! |

Oh, I would LOVE to dream a Wind Waker-style or Okami-style dream... Wouldn't that be wonderful? I always thought those were very beautiful games... Meeting Toon Link is going to be one of my lucid goals when I start LD'ing xD |

i had recently a few dreams that had to do with Metal Gear Solid. pretty sick game except for the fact that i didnt have lucidy but since i have been having it commonly, i try to make it a dream sign. same with school although i had a dream that metal gears were attacking my school and i was behind the incident secretly. |

I play alot of video games but rarely have dreams based on them, however I do happen to have dreams with game elements in them. |
I once dreamt about TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. I entered the "MapMaker" mode, which is a very flexible editor, but not extremely (i.e. no diagnal surfaces, allies, bumpy terrain, etc.) and I dreamt I found a way to do all that by inputing a code somewhere (in a non-existant text box in the MapMaker) that unlocks such tiles. When I woke I was pissed off. |
