Being responsible while lucid (do you ever get this?)

This has really started to bug me alot. I sometimes tend to be really responsible while lucid. For example, the other day I got really lucid in my dream and I was walking around in my parents kitchen. I got really stressed because somehow I knew it was really late in the night and I didn't want to wake them up or cause them trouble, plus in my dream I had the feeling of being extremely stoned , a state that I can't actually say I would want to face my own mother in. Anyway in this lucid state I therefor did everything really slowly and quietly, time was soon over and I woke up.

After I woke up I just felt like I had waisted time. What does it really matter If I'm quiet or not in my parents kitchen in a dream. And this is not the first time I do this. I've tried to avoid it but I don't know, sometimes I just get really nervous, like I have to do something in a certain way. And it's waisting time and really a waist of cool things to do. Maybe I feel the state I am in when I do this is because I feel very real.
Does anyone here get this or has?

I SO know what you mean!! It was in one of my early Lucids. I had shot a huge laser beam out of a lighter into a wall in my house, and when I looked through the hole, I could see my neighbors! But then I thought, "Oh CRAP! What if my parents find this?!?!" I got so scared, I lost Lucidity! When the dream was over and I woke up I was like, ".....Dang, that was weird."

Yehhh had this before. One time I was in the field next to my house and the cows in there escaped and I was like "I better get them back", "But it's just a dream! Ah well better get them back anyway just in case!".
I feel weird leaving things that would need attention in real life, I've had the night time thing as well like you, not wanting to make a sound in case I woke someone up, or getting embarassed about doing something when my parents are there. I think in time we'll get over it though!

Last night I got lucid having a little child in my hands. I didn't want to let her alone, I lost the dream because of I was too worried about where to let her before going on with the LD!

I once wanted to scream as loud as I could in a lucid-dream. I ended up only yelling a bit though, because I was scared the people around me would give weird looks. I told myself it was a dream, and it didn't matter, but I still couldn't get myself to do it. I suppose some of it was also the fear that I would wake up screaming a lot, waking up the entire house

I think this just means you are not fully lucid. i Have had that happen to me before and the way to get rid of it is to perform a (or a few) reality checks. This actually happend last night. I was lucid and I walked into one of my neighbours condo's. and even though I didnt recognize anyone in there from waking life, for a second I thought they would be like WHO ARE YOU GET OUT OF HERE..
so i did a reality check and convinced myself that I don't need to get out of there, cause its not real!
      hope i helped!

      That happens to me
It's usually because my little sisters are put in these dangerous situations and I tell myself,"Wait...this is is only a dream" but I can't bring myself to leave them D:

Yeah it happens to me a lot!!! A lot of stress induced events happen in my dreams that make me lose control of what's going on. This happens a lot for me when I dream about elementary school. When I was a kid I was so afraid of getting in trouble that I often dream about doing something silly that would make a teacher mad at me.

This happens to me a ton! Like I'll see a car accident or something and I have to rush over and help out. Or I spill something and I don't just leave it, I clean it up! Gah!

the other night I became lucid while eating at a restaurant, i wanted to leave the table, but I stayed because I realized it would be rude to the other people at the table if I suddenly left.

things like this can feel like a waste of time, but on the other hand I don't think its healthy to just be totally belligerent in all your LDs. You gotta find a good medium I guess.

yeah this happens to me quite alot lol. soo frustrating!

but Dizko gave me a little piece of advice that is extremely useful and that is simply to constantly remind yourself that , whislt lucid, everything you are seeing is simply a projection of your mind and is simply a dream. remindinding yourself that it is only a dream helps you in not only elongating the length of your lucidity, but also to increase clarity =D
