Scary DG experience..

Hey all, I just wanted to share a really weird/scary experience I had while trying to summon my dream guide. It happened the night before last when I went into a very high quality lucid dream. I stabilized my environment at first and then started exploring the world. After a little while of doing really usual LD stuff I remembered I wanted to meet my DG for the first time so I did what some people suggested and yelled out loud "show me my dream guide!" Almost instantly I saw a character who had long hair, dressed completely in purple clothing and riding a bike slowly approach me; he came really close to me and said "I am a nightmare, and I can make your life hell," then rode off.. So I woke up after a little while and felt a little rattled about the experience. I don't know what I should do now: give up on trying to summon the DG or have a backup plan if buddy guy starts causing trouble in my dreams... Any thoughts?

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on your "Dream Guide". They have only as much significance as you put on them. They are not scientifically proven links to the subconscious / dream state.

I would also try again if I were you. You can change his appearance/attitude when you get more control if you have a problem with him. Or you could try to befriend him. Another option still would be to use some dream powers to show him who's boss

If you find that your DG is a murderer the first time you meet him, then you don't have to be disheartened thinking that he will always be this way- it's a dream that YOU control, and "Dream Guide" is only a term provided by lucid-communities like DreamViews to help you discuss experiences better, not some kind of scientifically studied fragment in your brain The dream world is your world, change it how you wish, there's no need for you to hold back and be humble and kind-hearted or sensible and drug-wise, you can do what you want and make people react how you want. Your dream-world will tend to be more interesting and work much more fluidly if you are arrogant. Just force your dream-guide to be the pinnacle of awesomeness Don't call out and wait for a random DG, which has been created by the rage of your subconcious mind, to appear, make one yourself, and force it to appear Once his/her image is in your head you can get them to appear again and again for many dreams to come

thats good advice jimmeh, i think i can grasp what your saying because i know my lucid dreams have been the most fun when i am completely the man and use no caution as to the things i do. on a side note, my dream aslo included a part where right after the purple man a DC told me to go to germany to find my real DG. but i couldnt figure out how the heck i can teleport there.. anybody have any experience with teleporting? what "medium" is best to do this like tv set or mirror or water...? i tried jumping in a puddle but i only fell through it and went underground into the subway station lol

i say u try to summon your DG again... hell atleast yours rode away, my first time meeting my DG he killed me.....the first 358734 times i met my DG he made attempts at my life ..... i think i met him june/july.... im proud to say i just beat him last night ..
