Thread: Had an LD like this one?

A few weeks ago I had this really weird dream, after just watching Child's Play.

I was sleeping in my TV lounge. I suddenly woke up but still felt as if it all was unreal. Then I suddenly remembered that today is my maths exam! oh shit, i look at the clock, the time is 8:00! I nearly missed it! Anyways, there I was wishing that I was at the school and without my noticing, I was at the school. I see the whole building is empty. I think that no one is here yet, I am early. After that, I feel a really strange presence, like one you get when you think someone is following you. I turn around, and see a small girl. Only she looks like some sort of zombie, with hands and legs switched, and a whole lot of blood. I am shocked for a while, and she comes near me with her hand held out, as if asking for help. I suddenly realize that this must be a dream, as you don't get zombified little girls in the real world. She is know very close to me. I yell at her, " Get out of here, leave me alone!" And suddenly, my dream begins to dim, but I rub my hands and hang on to a pole to stay in the dream. My vision sharpens, and now I am in a totally different scenario. I am in a country side, with green hills and mountains. Then I look for something in my pocket, and take out a pill, rather like the ones that contain oil. I think, if I eat this, I will be able to fly, and viola! I eat it and start to fly, without need of directing my flight. What an amazing experience. It lasted for a while like this, then I wake up. I think, what an amazing dream! Ah well, time to get up. I look at the time, it's 6:05. I start to get out of my bed, and my clock suddenly rings. I look at it, and see it's 4:25. What is going on? I check my hands, I am missing my 2nd finger, as if it's been cut off. Then again I get that strange feeling, and a figure, much nastier than before is coming towards me. I start to panic, and unconsciously, force my eyes open. I think this is a forced awakening from a dream. But my eyes feel REALLY heavy and it is quite difficult to wake up, as if the dream is trying to MAKE me stay, but I manage it, this time for real.

Can anyone else force themselves awake? What does it feel like?

Sounds like the zombie figures are something your inner mind wants you to deal with... something relating to your life. You flew away from the 1st one so it showed you another, nastier one, and you woke yourself up to escape it.

Next time this happens in a lucid, face the figure and ask it why it's there or what it wants. It can help you to deal with some important problem in your life.

Talk to that freaking guy, man this is gonna be hard, given my brains horrible creativity and the dream appearing to be almost real. :/

Yeah I know... easy for me to say, right? But they say nightmare creatures are like predators IRL... if you run from them or fight them it kicks in their predatory nature, making them stronger and more aggressive. But when you ask them what their purpose is in your dream they often turn into people and become powerful helpers and teachers.

Keep in mind it represents some unresolved issue... something you need to deal with. Avoiding issues is not a good solution, and when you face them squarely they often turn out not to be as bad as they seemed at first.

All this said, I haven't tried it yet. I've only had 6 lucids now (since joining DV), and still working on basics like stabilizing the dream and developing any kind of control.

I encountered a pen full of giant stuffed monekys in a recent one and when my attempts to pinch their heads off and blast them with energy from my hands didn't work I ran away....

Well the only Time i had a dream that I couldn't wake up from was when I was a child. I use to piss the bed regularly, and usually I was dreaming about going to the washroom. Well in one dream i had to go, but I realized i was in a dream. I tried to wake myself up to go to the washroom, but couldn't.

Nowadays my lucids are too short. I never wanna wake up from them haha.

i will try reasoning with that guy, lets see if he has some useful tips or just advice on how to become a zombie
If it is related to my life, i would not say that it is from the movie as this dreams has been repeated before, so i would connect it with the depression of my daily life.

Yeah, it could just be because of the movie. Not every scary creature in a dream has valuable info for you. Would be kinda funny if you asked it what it wants in your dream and it said "To eat your brain"

Well, i had a DILD yesterday, and I thought what the heck, lets just take this guy on. I searched for a mirror ( i usually use them ) and teleported to where i thought the guy would be. I found that freak, then told myself, this is a dream, he is not real, etc. I asked him, what do you want, and believe what, he suddenly transformed into my ex, telling me to come back to her. Guess some part of me still misses her???

Wow, that's amazing. Maybe a phone call could clear it up?
I think I should try talking to my scary dream figures. Normally I just confront them and attempt to obliterate them completely in the most brutal way possible. Some keep coming back, so maybe talking is key.

Wow, that IS amazing! At first I was going to say that I seconded Darkmatters' advice, which I do, but then I saw you had already taken that excellent advice and had that informative experience. Good for you for being brave enough to give it a whirl, and how great that it paid off right away!

Wow, that is a cool revelation. Strange how we connect seemingly unrelated things.

The experience was freakin as hell....but it's rewarding, so try if you can! By the way I resolved my issues with my ex and thankfully, I dont get such type of dreams anymore. Thanks for the advice, guys!
