I posted about this in dream control, but I cut it down a bit to focus on the part where I actually controlled it. I play a lot of team fortress 2, enough so that anything being out of place would stand out to me. And in my dream a lot of things were completely different, enough to bring me partially to lucidity I believe. I was getting shot at by a sniper, and I could see my health bar going down, and something made me think of this cheat code, buddha. It keeps you from going below one health point ever, making you essentially invincible. And so I said it aloud, and it worked!

I lose track for a little while here, but at a later point I'm still in the same area and I think only a little time has passed, and I've fully realized I'm dreaming at this point. At first I do as I've always done, start thinking of all the things I want to do when I become lucid, but I remember one of the tips I've read on this site, is to focus on your surroundings, absorb all the details, that sort of thing. And so I sit down, and start looking at the grass, the dirt, the buildings nearby, I don't remember hearing anything or observing anything all that unusual though. At some point I close my eyes, and when I open them up I'm awake and in my room.

Has anybody else had any dreams where they've been in a video game, and if so have you used cheat codes to control them? I'm gonna use cheats codes next time I'm lucid regardless of if it's in a video game, there a great deal of very useful ones, there is one to change what level you're on, and I could probably use it to get anywhere I want, specifically, "map France" would take me somewhere in France, or at least my mental image of France. Noclip prevents you from colliding with anything, you just phase through, and you also fly. There are tons, you can create items, spawn computer controlled characters, and so many others. If you often have dreams where you find yourself in a video game I would try this.
