      Arrow How effective is meditation alone for getting you lucid dreams?

      Would preferably like to hear from someone who has achieved consistent lucid dreams just from doing meditation during waking life.

      If this is you, what type of meditation did you do and for how long?

      How effective is meditating without any other technique? I believe there are omni-lucids in this world but wouldn't someone who does mindfulness meditation consistently be able to get lucid dreams from that, but less? If this is the case then how many would you get per week?

      Maybe not your perfect replier: but IMO it takes additional specific intent to be lucid in dreams, and much more active reflection than what comes with standard mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness teaches to accept all experience just as it is without judgement. Lucid dreaming greatly IMO benefits from active reflection as part of all reaction to experience.

      What exactly do you mean by active reflection?

      Asking yourself, "am I dreaming/awake?" "Why do I think I'm awake?" "Where am I? What am I doing? Who am I with?" Bringing your full attention and awareness to your situation, to determine if it is a waking or dreaming experience. Another phrase for this would be "critical reflection." I write "active" to mean that you do it with full attention and awareness, and not as a back-burner sort of reflection. It's good to keep background reflection going as well, but sometimes you should also make the reflection very purposeful and with attention.
