A few minutes ago, I felt a little tired, so I took a short rest. I was fully aware and slowed down my breathing. What happened next was kind of hard to determine if I had successfully WILDed or just...

Brings back the memories. A month ago, when Portal 2 came out, I played it a ton. It changed my mindset to actually think with portals, so whenever I was out in public and saw a white wall, I'd think...

wow....I had a lucid after a dry month using this, but basically woke myself up. Time to learn how to stay asleep now.

Today was the first full day of using the Law of Attraction; like an experiment, you could call it. For those of you who do not know what it is, I suggest you watch "The Secret" or read up on it...

Seems more like the Law of Attraction, which is just as powerful, if not more powerful, than MILD.

This truly is the key to Lucid Dreaming. I had two more DILDs last night. Now to work on my dream control. Both of them destabilized fast.

That thinking is probably why you didn't LD or come close to LDing.

THANK YOU SilverBullet! I LDed last night. It was short, but I was flying and jumping 30 feet. I also wanted to dream about a specific thing, and so I told my Subconscious, "I am dreaming about...

I probably misread the OP, but it gave me an idea. If you played a game that had you use logic and reasoning to determine if you were dreaming, with enough gameplay, couldn't it help people do the...

This was a total waste of a Lucid Dream. I was Lucid for maybe 5 minutes and didn't do anything that I've wanted to do in my dreams; almost like I had completely forgotten what I wanted to do. Anyways...
So, the first thing I remember were my neighbors were making a movie with this really crappy DV camera. It's the cheap, vertical cameras where the screen pops out to either the left or right, and you hold it sort of like you would an item scanner at a retail store. Apparently, and also illogically, they had no experience in editing video, and I was supposed to do it for them. I watched them film the couple of scenes they needed, although I don't remember exactly what happened in the scenes or what they were about.
When they were done, I was about to start editing the clips together, since the short film was due for some festival in a few hours. I, for some reason, went into my bathroom to brush my teeth. As I brushed, I noticed my teeth ached, and when I took a look, there were cavities on my teeth, and some had even fallen out. I ran out, and my neighbor was obviously distraught, as I needed emergency dental work and their film was due in mere hours.
The dream skipped to me at a dentist's office. The dentist wore surgical scrubs and a mask, and he instantly began applying some sort of paste to my gums to numb them. After they turned a bit numb, I saw him get out the novacaine syringe and walk my way. This, I suppose, woke up the logic part of my brain.
I instantly stood up, looked at the dentist, and said something along the lines of "I need to check on something at work. I'll be back in a little bit." The dentist nodded, and without doing a reality check, I instantly said, "yeah, I'm dreaming."
I left the room, walked down the stairs, and was at some sort of college. The best way to describe it is a grand wooden fold-back staircase that led to a log-cabin cafeteria filled with students. Down the hall was a gift shop, and outside was a park. I decided to test out my "dream powers", and looked at the first dream character I saw. I, for reasons unknown, decided to blow them up. Sure enough, it worked, and I shrugged it off as just something that was sort of "cool". Then, I walked to the gift shop area and met up with this douchey kid who, until then I had not noticed, had been in previous dreams that night. He was apparently some sort of famous musician, but let's face it: he was a total douche. I started calling him out, and then I woke up. I actually woke up at 6:59, one minute before my alarm was set to go off.
This really bummed me out because I have so much I want to do, yet when I get opportunities like this, I completely waste them because for whatever reason, I'm not thinking properly.
Also, after work, I took an hour and a half long nap. I don't remember if I had any dreams while taking it, but I did wake up and sort of lay in bed and try to visualize a little bit. What followed was a super-illogical "dream" that was too abstract for me to even begin to comprehend (that, and I don't even want to share because it was that weird). I was well aware that I was in bed, and could feel my body laying there, but didn't have any logic whatsoever apparently.
