If you get a pen and write ''I will lucid dream'' many times and many pages and also read as many times on papers, will you lucid dream? |
|
Yes. |

That sounds like MILD (mnemonic induced lucid dream), but instead of saying it to yourself, you write it out. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Seems more like the Law of Attraction, which is just as powerful, if not more powerful, than MILD. |

I used to use this method but I was trying to improve recall. I have heard, though never tested it myself, that if you write it in cursive it's more effective. The person who told me said it creates a more direct link to your sub-conscious when you write in cursive. I think tonight I'll go ahead and try it again but write something similar to your "i will lucid dream" and I think I'll go ahead and do so in cursive. Have fun with your lucid man |

I disagree to some extent. |

I tried this quite a while back just before sleeping i wrote over and over again "I WILL |
|
I tried this last night but only filled up one side of a page because i was pretty tired. I woke up at 5 with a really vague dream that took place on another planet with supernatural creatures flying around which is pretty bizarre for my dreams but i still wasn't lucid. I'm wondering though if it was a flash of lucidity that got me to that planet in the first place, considering most of my dreams take place on planet earth. |

Well, the feeling of knowing that you're dreaming is nearly unmistakeable. It's like a sudden change in awareness, although it can be stronger or lesser at times. Dream control, or having bizarre occurrences/location changes doesn't necessarily mean you're lucid, although it can indicate that you're on the right track. |

Yeah if i truly had gone lucid i'm sure i would've remembered the feeling. My first dreams of the night are always the hardest for me to remember but surely i would've remembered going lucid. Thanks for the input. This is random but I've seen you on the forums before, though never talked to you. A few nights ago i had a dream that you were teaching a class i was in, it was pretty interesting considering i imagined the way you would look and such. It was funny though because the class just addressed you as puffin. Too bad i cant remember what you were teaching, you may have been giving out some lucid tips |

I wonder if it would help (speaking of law of attraction) to write "I lucid dream" or "I am a lucid dreamer" so that you get used to the feel of being a lucid dreamer, rather than "I will lucid dream" which is about something in the future, not the now. |
|
I was just thinking about that earlier today |

This has worked for me before, but it only seems to really work well for me when I visualize LDing first. |

If we wrote the mantra as many pages and read them for a long time like hours would this work? |
|
I'm not having another one of those "back to back arguments". Having it being the last thing on your mind is helpful but that's not even the technique it's self. Maybe we should break it down. |
