      Sad...like a fox!

Even though it's frustrating, you gotta admit, the guy knows his stuff. Being eager to debate isn't a bad thing at all. It actually helps an argument by revealing any and all flaws, and thereby enabling the arguer to strengthen it for the future.

Where were you when they were passing out senses of humour?

      well

Forgive me if I sound naive..

But personally, I can't help but believe in some type of higher power. I just don't see how certain things that happen, could happen without some kind of outside forces..

Whether you call it God, angels, spirits.. there are too many unexplained occurances to rule out a higher power. However, I don't see how I could prove or disprove this to you. These are just my personal thoughts..

      ***EDIT***

All Religion could easily by false.. complete bull.. but it's the feelings that it gives to it's followers that is important... if a person is that much happier because of their faith.. then more power to them.. I personally can't imagine having only one life, dying.. and then that's it.. that's the end. But what you believe is what you believe.. I say believe whatever (whether believing in a religion or just believing in yourself).. if it gives you strength/happiness or helps you to find a purpose in life.. then it's that much better for you..
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The Dreams in which I'm dying
are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
And I find it hard to take

Apparently they gave me mine and also yours by mistake.

Bigunit's lifestyle and beliefs is not ridiculous.

Even if atheists out there allegedly address religion as Marx's well quoted "opium of the people..." still, it's a "hallucinatory drug" that works well for some individuals, at least to you! Marx even saw that cultural program as understandable, not merely ridiculous.

Nobody would feel secure without that to feel secure within, whether it's God or self. We're the same people underneath.

If there are unexplained things out there (of which, frankly, there are few), it doesn't mean that we would never be able to explain them, and that we should stop trying, and instantly jump to the conclusion that it must have been a "higher power" and not some natural process which created them. To do that... is just reckless and immature IMHO.

I never said that you should give up trying to explain things... And I'm not instantly "jumping to the conclusion" that it must have been a "higher power".. certain things have happened to me that have led me to believe in a higher power.. and that's my personal belief
