We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

"Well, shit. Ah, well. Hey Bezelbub! Pass me a cold one and turn up the Packers game! Ladies, get your fine asses over here." |

I'd be shocked. But I really don't think we'd have a conciousness in Hell. Just the constant feeling of pain, anguish, and despair. That's the only thing I think we'd have... I believe in the Christian God too. But I think sometimes that Hell is not Hell. I know a Buddhist girl. She was raised in a Thai home in Thailand, she is so nice... I cannot imagine on any day her going to Hell. Because I KNOW that if she was raised in a Christian family she'd be Christian. I would probably be Buddhist if I was raised in a Buddhist household, and the same goes with most everyone! I think appealing to the real God would be, "Hey, I believed in my religion whole-heartedly and I followed the rules I was supposed to. I had morals. I was GOOD." My God is a merciful one. |

What do atheists believe will happen when they die? Nothing? |

Formally Known as MrBlonde.
Technically, the term "atheist" can include anyone who doesn't believe in a god, even if they do believe in the supernatural or an afterlife. Many Buddhists, for instance, could be considered atheists. |

Cool I didn't know that about atheist? I guess Buddhists could be called a parity atheists. |

I would first think, " Wow, someone really hates me to put me here. " |

"Well, fuck..." |

I'd lead a rebellion against God for being an asshole. |

The worst thing that can happen to a good cause is, not to be skillfully attacked, but to be ineptly defended. - Frédéric Bastiat
I try to deny myself any illusions or delusions, and I think that this perhaps entitles me to try and deny the same to others, at least as long as they refuse to keep their fantasies to themselves. - Christopher Hitchens

*Walking up to the demon with the folder* "Uhhhh.....hello! Excuse me, sir! You're not gonna believe this, but I think there's been a big mistake. *nervous chuckle* You see, I think you might have the wrong guy here. When I was standing in line at the Pearly Gates, the bigoted, homophobic, child-abusing priest in front of me was let straight in, while I was kicked down here. Haha, I'm sure it's all just a terrible misunderstanding. Maybe you could just check the records and.....what? I...it's not a mistake? Oh, well.....okay.....I guess I'll just....go in here and uhhh....burn forever then. But yeah, thanks anyway." |

I agree with this. In that kind of situation, I guess you can either give up all hope completely or try with all your might to bring down the tyrant sitting on the cloud. Even if I got into Heaven, I would still be pissed off knowing that there are millions (maybe even billions) of people living in agony and despair while I'm living a perfectly happy existence. Whether or not I would play the brave guy, spit in God's face and march back out the way I came, is hard to know. But I definitely couldn't live in eternal happiness knowing that a place like Hell exists. |
