Fableflame..ignore the haters. He's just angry because he simply CANNOT believe this. I feel sorry for him. We just continue to manifest what we want.

Well, I suppose it's okay to hate chaos magick, but I agree with Fableflame. Just saying it's bullshit is not helping anyone. If you want to express yourself and your thoughts so badly, then you might aswell tell people why you don't believe in it; or indeed don't post.

I'm no angry and i dont hate, I respect your desicion to beleive in "Chaos Magick", I was simply sharing my point of view and that is that is mostly bullshit followed by teenagers that suffer from a lack of confidence and things to do.
I have no problem with the ancient traditions of the Celts and the Wiccans, I see worshipping the Sun and the Land as much more sensible than worshipping some fantasy creature created to control the populace, but in general the modern day practioner of magick, is simply somebody who is either extrememely deluded or just finds the idea "cool". But who am I to say that's wrong, if it enriches your life in any way I say go for it.

Chaos Magick can be explained scientifically. But posting scientific evidence to paranormal phenomena on this website is counterproductive. I can't, and WON'T try to change your belief system. You don't believe it, then just don't believe it. I don't need to convince you of shit. I have my own proof.

Which reminds me, I got some serious cash getting ready to roll in in a few more weeks to a month!!!

      Fix'd?

Please post the scientific evidence and I'll gladly read through it.

Why should I believe in this if there is no evidence?

If it were real it would be extremely easy to confirm scientifically. But it hasn't been. Why do you think that is?

It is maybe a good thing, to not believe in anything that has not been found out by oneself.

Question everything. One time, the world was flat, and all that.

And one time, invisibility could not be scientifically proven. But you know, then they got into an opal, and started playing with those band width gaps.

      Funny thing, invisibility...

      Perception denotes reality.

      My reality encompasses magick.
Most folks reality does not. I think this is more perception than anything.

Don Juan said it correctly..."Who is going to see me? a couple Indians?" If you don't believe it, it wont work for you... period.

I dont ascribe to Chaos Magick, not because I don't see the possibility but because it is of the left hand path. A path I dont have any interest in taking.

There is still no scientific evidence in this thread...Someone said they had some, but of course they didn't want to waste their own time because we wouldn't believe it anyway.

And Baccuss, by saying your reality encompasses "magick" you are saying that whatever you do works for you because you believe it. That being said, your spells and voodoo would only work on other people who subscribe to the same or a simliar reality as yours. Because most people don't subscribe to the reality of "magick" your practice is essentially useless.

Exactly! Being skeptical is what actually "prevents" you from creating what you want and getting the results that you want. It's funny how that works lol

Alas HardWired, sometimes other things can go wrong also. I had a "fail" last week in China - here is a little story you might enjoy:

I was in the city of Wuhan in the hubei province, the start of the ancient silk road. I had promised to buy a beautiful blue and gold silk altar cloth for our OTO temple. I thought I would have no problems tracking down something wonderful in the city that was the start of the old silk road to the West. Annoyingly though after a couple of days of searching I found to find anything suitable.

I therefore decided to do a chaos working and use a sigil.

Next to my hotel was a small massage parlour that were happy to provide an "in room" service. We agreed a price and they promised to send a fabulously pretty whore to my room at 8:30.

I used the time before 8:30 to craft my sigil, and also open the temple (in this case the kingsized hotel bed) and invoke Babalon. I wrote the finished sigil on the palm of my left hand so I could charge it at the "climax" of the operation.

8:30 arrived and so did the whore. She was indeed delightful. Slight and petite, yet curvy. She was very pretty with a cheeky sense of humour. She was in every way perfect - indeed everything I had asked Babalon for. Amusingly and aptly her name was "yo yo".

She wanted us to shower first - I of course obliged - and we then took to the bed to get down to business. I had to keep slowing her down, as of course its important to not rush these things.

The critical moment arrived, so I gazed upon the palm of my left hand. Disaster! No Sigil! It had washed off in our energetic and enthusiastic shower! Dumbass!

Still - it wasnt a total waste of an evening. I certainly wasnt bored.

I wouldn't do it...I have a feeling I'm getting trolled though. We are in a chaos "magick" thread though so my tolldar is all over the place.

Why don't you charge happy faces you draw on your stomach?

If I had a purpose for doing so then I would.

I'm not trolling. Thelemite. "Do what thou wilt" and all that. Dont forget the OTO is all over sex magick. Bad old Uncle Al would doff his hat I'm sure.

BTW - what is a "tolldar"? I googled it and I saw a reference to a 7$ bill? Is it a typo or slang for something?

      Just ignore it.

What does charging sigils do for you? Why does it have to be during the climax of sex? I remember watching a crowley doc and he said he reaches a state of nirvana/enlightenment at the climax of sex, the type of which was mostly homosexual. I suppose it doesn't matter in Chaos Magic, a climax is a climax right? What is the OTO?

Check back ealier in the thread as some of your questions are answered there. The basic theory is that at the extremes of emotional experience ( rage, pain, terror, ecstacy) the higher mind is silenced - like meditation. These methods are a "short cut" therefore to reach this state for a breif period of time.

Crowley was Bi, and the greatest sexual adventurer and libertine of his time. His impact on the 60's was huge. He did use homosexual sex a great deal in ritual. Often playing the submissive role. Homosexuality was against the law in England at the time and deliberatley breaking laws/tabbo/dogma was something he adored - he was very much the "shock jock" of his age. He hated his ultra religious mother (who actually gave him his nick name "the great beast"), hated the church, establishment, and so basically did anything and everything he could do to shock and disgust societly at the time.

The OTO (Ordo Templi Orientis) is one of two organisations Crowley set up (the other being the A.'.A.'.) to propogate the law of thelema (free will). The OTO was origionally a german masonic order - that was also into the occult and use of sex in their rituals. When the then head of the OTO came across the writings and exploits of Crowley he handed over the organisation to Crowley. Crowley quickly made the order adopt all of his writings and teachings and then started forming OTO organisations in the USA, England, Australia and elsewhere. The OTO is alive and well and somewhat blooming of late. You tend not to hear of it as Crowleys law of thelema is clear that you cannot interfere with the free will of others, therefore attempting to convert people or evangelize is against the "law", it is also of course a good old fashioned "secret society".

The Cal Tech rocket scientist Jack Parsons was the head of the US OTO for a while before blowing himself up - the events of which are well worth a read.

Read the lemegeton part 1 and 2 by Solomon. If we are to believe in real magic, he would be the one to know. Don't expect to actually have the money or legality of doing many of his rituals though, or the patience for preparation. Also, the first part is a pain in the ass to get a-hold of, i'll email it to you if you really wish it.

I don't really know much else about it.
Most experienced xaotees i know do consider consequences of magic they're using (that is when they're not too messed around to recall considiration). They just don't have any common cut-through dogmatic system of consequences but base them on their past experiences and take the new blows as teachers of price.

Besides pagans/wiccans outside the dogmatic herd, base their view of 'price' on their individual occult knowledge.. handed down by doing the stuff,, it's the neophythic herd that go under the standards and dogmas

So basicly any one who has the wisdom to trust her own experiences over 'understanding teachers and their systems' is a xaote, unless she works all together without any flux, flow, dynamism (or other cha o'tic attributes). Which is same as to say that, his magic doesn't work at all

PS srry for hermeneutic and sane answer
