I smoke weed all the time... it helps me sleep |
Hello i am happy to announce that i officially stopped using marijuana after using it for 2 years almost everyday. i stopped because it is making me forget a lot of things and it makes me lazy. And some other reasons not worth of mentioning in this thread because i didn't make this thread to hear how good i am because i stopped |

You'll have to tell us how it works out. |

"Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?" And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots. You see, reverend Maynard tomorrow is harvest day, and to them it is the holocaust."
I am sorry i am really sick right now for 4 days already i cant do any experimenting because right now i got to get betther. |

Hi Yahiko! I'm sorry you're sick; feel better soon please. I stumbled across this topic and was very interested in your endeavors. I smoke daily as well, so I know the effects that you're talking about. For some, marijuana really does affect dream recall to an extreme and attempting to remember is usually met with ill results. |
I'm really happy for you that you were able to give up. Marijuana isn't a good thing for your body and I'm sure you know all about what it does to your life. |
Of course I'm going to defend marijuana when you put it in a light like that. |
Well, I'm don't want a marijuana debate either, but I believe in my own opinion that your better off without it. Now let's not hijack Yahiko's thread |
I also smoke daily, and I also stop smoking awhile before bed. While many people become lazy and tired when smoking, I become stimulated. You can smoke yourself to sleep but I don't think the sleep is really restful. I also have found that when you stop smoking for a while You will remember your dreams alot more. |
Ahh, yeah I quit smoking weed a while back(I never remembered a dream, and developed terrible insomnia) now having quit, I remember 2-4 dreams a night(I've been keeping a dream journal) and I sleep great. It has been a month and a half since I quit. And yeah Yahiko, quitting cold turkey causes a lot of withdraws(I don't care what anyone says, you can have withdraws, I had them) I lost appetite and felt like vomiting often, I slowly worked on quitting, and that made it a lot easier. |

Ya its trippy how weed effects everyone so much differently based on lifestyle how much you use it ect. Like its a big differrence if you use it to unwind and relax at the end of the day compared to smoking all day |
i need to admit i started again |
I'm not quitting 100%, but I'm smoking only once a week or less after a year of smoking at least once a day. That year I had no dream recall (though I'd quit focusing on dreaming at that time) and I started cutting back three weeks ago and I've had better and better recall. |
Rawr!
I stopped cold-turkey, about 2 or so weeks ago. I used to smoke every day. I had "withdrawals" for awhile, and I think that's what aggravated my insomnia and anxiety, because I used it to help with those 2 things. It really affected my recall, but now I'm recalling 2-4 dreams a night! |

As we felt eternity,
the water recalled her life
as rain.
I used to smoke every day for a year then i got into dreaming and decided to quite.i quite about 2 weeks ago YEAH |
Quitting to improve recall has been on my mind a lot lately, but i just thought, why not enjoy both dreaming and MJ. I smoke it pretty much every day so i figure if i just smoke on weekends then i can enjoy both. |
I have been on and off weed ever since I got into lucid dreaming. At the start of the year I wasnt smoking much and was having 4-5 dreams every night which was incredible. Throughout the year I have gotten back into some bad patterns but always go back to having breaks but I still havnt gotten to the point of having that many dreams ever since. |
thxs! its now been 3 weeks and i can tell a difference. just yesterday i was thinking of smoking a j with my friends. probably the only reason my dream recall was so bad was because i smoked 250$ worth of the best kush in THE WORLD on new years. |
what kind did you smoke |
Total LDs:30
First LD:/Last LD: 1/8/11 - 12/xx/11 LD in a row: 2
bro the guy dosent even tell me i think its a hybrid of cheese and some other mystery kush but im not sure. what ever it was it was the BOMB. |
I smoked pot daily for a period of years...could NEVER recall dreams during that time. |
This is exactly true. I've been a heavy smoker for 12 years. Daily for at least 3-4 years. I now ONLY vaporize not smoke. Either way if I stop before say 7PM, I WILL have dreams and remember them and feel like I got a better night's sleep. If I vape later than this cutoff time (haven't found the exact time) I will not recall the dream and I feel like I had a very light sleep. |
Wow, this seems really interesting. Im going to try this technique... although i sometimes struggle with sleep without a bedtime zoot. |
