My family is Scottish on my father's side, Irish on my mother's. So nat'rlly I want to visit Scotland, and maybe even Ireland (wherein everyone should be angry). That and the kayaking, which I love. And the possibility of buying a kilt that doesn't cost $300 like they do online.

Sea kayaking in Scotland is amazing - the West coast is the best. It's incredibly remote, a true wilderness, and the sea life is fantastic.

A good quality kilt over here, from a good kiltmakers, costs about £500 pounds here. That's about $1,000. But that's including a jacket, sporran etc.

I've kayaked on Loch Ness...which isn't the sea, but it mirrors it in epicness.

We're taking the 'small talk' meander from DV crush to Scotland. Happens.

lucky! i havent even left this damn state! the farthest ive gone is from colorado springs to denver (or is pueblo farther away? idk)

I had to go to Scotland on business once - was cooooooold! I remember getting off the plane and could notice the difference from down south!

It was a nice place though, and people seemed friendly enough!
