Elm wants you to go to Mr. Pokémon (pretty original name, don't you think??) because he made a great discovery, so Elm gives your starter, then Mr. Pokémon gives you an egg and you bring it bakk to Elm, he takes it then you get it then it hatches into a Togepi. I remember the whole storyline of g/s/c XD

Shinx is kinda kool, Luxio and Luxray sukk, though. Although what Luxray can do is pretty kool, it can see through rocks and walls and stuff.

THAT'S right. I forgot about the Togepi egg! I love my Togetic. Still trying to get a Togekiss in the Sinnoh games.

That's basically what happens, but you don't get the pokémon before Elm knows about the errand in g/s. Only in Crystal and that's stupid.
