It has also happened to me when waking up. I can't move my right arm and it feels like it vibrates if I try to move it or it hits against anything. It hurts a bit when I try moving it. |

I was doing a meditation that said wait until your legs become numb.. i didnt know if the numb bit was sleep paralysis, but after waiting... say 20 minutes my hands became extremely weird... tinglely yet numb, and kinda felt like electricity was in my palms... and my legs felt dead. my entire legs,. when i got up it felt hard to move aswell. Was this sleep paralysis? or just numb ness? o.o |

Unless they were in a bad position to become numb, it was sleep paralysis, |

No, that was not it. Sleep paralysis is an experience like none other. |

It sounds like numbness. Most people (but not everyone) will know for sure when they've entered SP because they either feel different, have a change in the way they're thinking or aware of things, or are hallucinating. If the numbness you're describing almost feels like your body has gone stiff and would almost "crack" when you move it, that's not SP. This happens to me sometimes. I find it helps if I stretch more beforehand, and don't focus on my body. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

NO . SP is when you wake up not able to move any part of your body and you can't even open your eyes or speak. when ive experienced this it only lasts a couple seconds |
