Is there any detrimental effects to getting only 6 hours sleep during the weekdays?

I am a male in my early 20s. I work out down the gym 3 times a week and have a respectable physique with a fast metabolism as a result of this (if this relates to sleep in any way).

I go to bed at around 1am every week day and get out of bed at 7am.

I never wake up tired and I can easily get out of bed after around 10-15mins of snoozing once my alarm goes off.

My question is, is 6 hours sleep detrimental? It's just I find (especially if you work through the day) if you go to bed at around 10.30 or 11, you literally have NO time in the evenings to do anything and this really annoys me. You basically end up working, going home, eating and then sleeping.

Is there any benefits to getting more than 6 hours sleep?

And is it detrimental to get only 6hrs sleep during week days? I never wake up tired nor am I dozy during the day and I don't even drink coffee in the mornings.

      Comments?

I'd say if you don't feel tired then there isn't a problem. I prefer quality over quantity any day. However for dream work then it does pay to have a 'lie in' if you can afford one.
My metabolic rate is also very high. For example, I could eat a whole box of chocolates, etc. and actually still LOSE weight, although I do not go to the gym. However I do short stints of walking and do 15 min bursts on my exercise bike every day, although I'm not that fit.
It is believed Margaret Thatcher ran the (UK) country whilst only needing 4 hours of sleep a night.

      the right sleep for you

I envy your fast metabolisms If I eat a bread loaf a day I get fat! Maybe because of the slow metabolism (not sure) I am very very sleepy, but I also manage to sleep only 6 hours or even less, when I take a short nap at the middle of the day or follow a polyphasic schedule.
I honestly think the 8 hour sleep is a modern myth not based on reality. People are different, brains are different and as long as a person feels rested and alert, it doesn't really matter how many hours he/she sleeps. More important than a long sleep is to complete a sleep cycle without interruption. If you sleep 6 hours, you're completing 4 sleep cycles, which is probably enough for you. Just "listen" to your own needs instead of trying to fit into some standardized sleep schedule the society now thinks is the good one (and someday will change its mind again).

I you really have to sleep for only 6 hours then that's fine but the regular steeping hours is 8 hours.

I wouldn't try to fix what ain't broken! I believe its different for each person and depends a lot on what activities you do during the day and your age.

I need way more than 6 per day. When I was in the military they had us on a lot less than the "8 per day" that is recommended, but we were mindless zombies. Then again, maybe that's what they wanted us to be.

I was getting about 4 hours a day on weekdays, 6 on the weekends. Then for a few months I switched to 8 hours every night and felt better. Then I switched to 6 and didn't feel any worse, so I just stick with 6-8

Usually people who workout need to sleep more for muscle repair

This is true, but I work out 5 days a week. And I usually get around 6 hours all week. 8 if I am really really tired.
