I'd say if you don't feel tired then there isn't a problem. I prefer quality over quantity any day. However for dream work then it does pay to have a 'lie in' if you can afford one. |

I am a male in my early 20s. I work out down the gym 3 times a week and have a respectable physique with a fast metabolism as a result of this (if this relates to sleep in any way). |

I envy your fast metabolisms If I eat a bread loaf a day I get fat! Maybe because of the slow metabolism (not sure) I am very very sleepy, but I also manage to sleep only 6 hours or even less, when I take a short nap at the middle of the day or follow a polyphasic schedule. |

I you really have to sleep for only 6 hours then that's fine but the regular steeping hours is 8 hours. |

I wouldn't try to fix what ain't broken! I believe its different for each person and depends a lot on what activities you do during the day and your age. |

I need way more than 6 per day. When I was in the military they had us on a lot less than the "8 per day" that is recommended, but we were mindless zombies. Then again, maybe that's what they wanted us to be. |

I was getting about 4 hours a day on weekdays, 6 on the weekends. Then for a few months I switched to 8 hours every night and felt better. Then I switched to 6 and didn't feel any worse, so I just stick with 6-8 |
