I have only been able to WILD once whilst in a sitting position and I put that down to my meditational practices over the years. However, I doubt very much I could do it with a lot of auditory distraction. |

Ok so I'm a truck driver and I get up for work around 5:15. I take a nap every day after lunch around 11:00. The thing is I'm usually parked at a truck stop and there's a ton of noise from highway traffic and 18-wheelers pulling in and out. Plus my truck is not very comfortable. The seat barely leans back at all. In spite of all that, I do fall asleep fairly easily. I tried to WILD like this a couple of times back when I first got into LDing, but I couldn't do it. I read that naps are a really good time to WILD, but would it be possible to pull one off even with all the noise? |

On the contrary, that could be an excellent time to WILD. The white noise from the road will likely speed the advance of auditory hallucinations. It could also help you concentrate if you listen to it intently. Try and see what happens! ^^ |

Well I gave it a shot today but I just ended up falling asleep. I haven't even been able to successfully have a WILD in bed yet either, so maybe when I get better at this I'll be able to do it. |

Do you use one method or several? If you are using just one method it may be worth your while experimenting with other methods. |

Yeah I have been trying out different methods. So far I've had the most success with DEILD. It's the only method that I've actually gotten to SP with. |
