      help with deild

I had a dild last night, and the dream quickly started to fade. I forgot about stabilizing it, but remembered that if I lay still, I could deild. I woke up without moving, and quickly started to go numb and feel heavy. Almost my entire body was in sleep paralysis when my heart started racing and I started breathing quickly. I was calm and tried to ignore it, but I ended up moving because it was so uncomfortable. Does anyone know why this would happen and what I can do to succeed next time. Thanks in advance for any help.

DEILD involves sleep paralysis, and sleep paralysis is often accompanied by the feeling that your heart is racing, and heaviness. Maybe try imagining new sensations of a dream you'd like to go into - imagine a beach or something, and imagine the wind, the sand, etc. Or, picture the last dream you came out of. There's not much you can do but just ignore the sensations.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Okay, thanks, I'll try that next time this happens, hopefully soon. When i had my one succesful wild this didn't happen, only on my unseccesful tries. Too bad I can hardly remember what I did that time.

Since when?! I have never even heard that, and all DEILDs I have done don't have SP accompanying them!

Well, you fell into a WILD by accident. Whoops. Maybe better luck next time! You should also read up on WILDs in case this happens again.

I've read about wilds, i thought deild was just preforming a wild without moving after waking up. What's the difference?

DEILD does involve sleep paralysis but its normally very minimal and only last up to a minute. Remember you have to be in a REM period for DEILD to work so if it was in between two REM periods then it would have taken longer or wouldnt have worked at all. I have written a tutorial so if anyone wants me to send them it just ask on this thread or PM me. Thanks

Why don't you just post it and link it...?

I would very much like to see this tutorial. If you just post it somewhere and give a link it would probably be easier.

You weren't in sleep paralysis because you moved and you 'broke' it, and that shouldn't happen that easily. Paralysis= paralyzed

You won't be able to break real sleep paralysis by twitching a thumb or something, you should find that it's nearly impossible to move at all for at least a short amount of time.

Its all right that you moved and ended the experience. You could a easily just went right back to sleep and tried again, maybe attempted a WILD this time. Since you just woke up, you probably would have gone back to sleep quickly, so that helps with WILDs. Better Luck next time.
