      question about WILDing

idk if anyone else has this same problem but, when you WILD do you have to keep your eyes open? I try to keep my eyes open but if i keep them open for too long withought blinking they start to get dried out and burn a little and i try my hardest to not blink but now all my focus has gone to not blinking. so dow e have to keep our eyes open or is there anyone out there that does a WILD with their eyes shut. i know this probly takes a little more concentration since it will be easier to accidentally fall asleept

Whoa whoa whoa, you have it all wrong. The goal of a WILD is to make your body fall asleep while your mind is still awake or conscious. Closing your eyes is almost a must! I don't suppose you sleep with your eyes open do you? No.

So do it with your eyes closed and you will have a far higher success rate.

Semi-related question. I find that my eyes slightly open against my will when I try to WILD. I can't really see clearly out of them, and what I do see is hazy.

Wait a minute... was that a dream? Did I really open my eyes against my will or was I having something similar to a false-awakening? I never thought about it this way until now. Odd.
