I WILDed without even wanting it.

Last night I tried WBTB for the first time , with the goal to remember one single dream ( which doesnt works for me *sadface*, my recall is simply bad. But i had an interesting experience. After 50 minutes of being awake I went to bed again and I just wanted to sleep , but after .. I guess 5 - 10 minutes strange things happend : I heard some vibrations and I saw pictures in front of me , they were really vivid , but they changed so fast that I cant tell anything I saw there , then I heard a crowd of people talking. I was pretty scared so I decided to break the sp.
I wasn't able to move my whole body for 10 seconds or so , I could only open my mouth and I could control my breathing.

What would happen if I stay in such a sp ?

Isnt that pretty unusual for someome who has never tried to WILD before and didn't even know much about it?

A similar thing happened to me a few weeks back. I was having great difficulties sleeping and keept on waking up I found myself lying there for over an hour just trying to sleep as I had school the next day. I then felt the vibrations head the sounds etc. I have never attempted to WILD before but had read a lot into previously but never bothered as I just though it would be to hard. I knew what was happening and just got really excited and tried thinking back into what I was meant to do. I eventually came out of the SP because I was to excited and over whelmed.

If you had stayed in this state you may have drifted into a dream! Next time just stay calm and let it take over you.

Oh.. I really regret that I left the SP...

BTW: Is it possibly to wake your mind up while the your in SP?
because I can only remember I switched of the light, laid in my bed with my focus on LD's and then the next thing I remember is the vibration and voices...
It felt like 5 minutes to enter SP.. is this even possible?

Usually if you fight SP... Try to move, get scared etc it will break pretty soon. Thats my experiences of it anyway. I cant get past SP cause of those reasons lol.

And yeah its possible, your just lucky... Takes me ages.

I used to get very bad SP..do you know why..because I was terrified about something I didn't know enough or anything about..then when I found out what it was and looked more into it I made my mind set that I wont fear the thing that hounded me each time i had it, and trust me I had awfull experiences..I decided that next time I got it I would just go with it instead of fight it, I couldnt get out of SP when it happens and still cant..use it to your advantage, take a few deep breaths when you get it , relax and say to yourself "im lucid dreaming" slow your heart rate if it goes mad like mine does and think nice thoughts..nothiong will harm you, its just silly hallucinations thats all..go for it and blast your way through SP to the other side and enjoy every minute of a lucid dream..good luck

If you stayed in the SP, you would have very likely entered into a fully lucid dream, assuming you remained aware throughout the SP. This is how my WILDs go : im sleeping I start hearing noises and voices in my head, then i feel the vibration, then i start seeing the dream scene in front of me and finally i enter into a LD

Yeah, it definitely sounds like you were close to entering a dream! Nice job! (Even though you didn't mean to WILD)

Are you going to try it again?

but first, I have to fix my dream recall, I dont remember ANY dream from the last 3 days, I have a dream journal since 1 month. Thats just bad I guess.. even when I WBTB I dont remember anything..

I don't tend to have dreams when Im very tired, or drunk. Didn't have a single one at leeds fest and I only got a few hours sleep each night.
