Sleep deprivation to help induce wild?

Just a question: would sleep deprivation help induce a wild? What I mean by that is staying up all night until your in that stage where it's easy to enter sleep. Another question if you were to stay up all night and try the next day would you hit a rem period or not. The reason I'm asking this question is because I'm sure you all have experienced that tiredness where you start thinking random thoughts and dreams start generating infront of you as you drift off. I just think it would be easier to achieve a wild with this also I have heard that sleep deprivation is a key factor in people experiencing sleep paralysis. I don't plan on doing this regulary I'm just curious. Tell me your thoughts

Sleep deprivation increases the amount of sleep you have in REM, this is where your dreams happen, it also happens to be the only beneficial period of sleep, which explains why it increases when you lose sleep.
So yeah, it will help you induce a WILD, but I stress help. It would be more beneficial to a DILD/MILD in my opinion because that gives more time to realise, rather than just helping you wake up in the right period.
I find SP comes faster when you haven't slept much, so if you struggle it might be an advantage, but I wouldn't deliberately stop sleeping to increase the chance of a WILD.
If you have any questions just ask

If you must know I am going to try this once as I have struggled with wild and the one time I think I did it I was really tired before hand. I have trouble sleeping after waking in the middle of the night and so wilds are really hard. Like I said I realize this is unhealthy and I don't plan on continuing with this method.

i find that sleep deprivation is VERY helpful in inducing WILDS, especially at bedtime. that daydreamy visualization feeling is a surefire indicator to me that it will be easy to wild.

over the last two months i have had 3 WILDS at bedtime, each time following a night of little or no sleep. they required only minimal effort, where as when i try to WILD during a typical WBTB, it proves much more difficult.

this is not true. there is lots and lots of evidence demonstrating the beneficial spatial memory consolidation effects of stage 2 and NREM sleep. there is also evidence for lots of NREM dreaming episodes.

Sleep deprivation can help you become lucid, but it also SUCKS. If you have ever missed a night of sleep, you know how painful it can be. I don't think it is worth it. There are so many other great ways of becoming lucid that actually improve your quality of life and sleep.
