How to get past beating heart?

Every attempt at WILD, I reach a point where I encounter that same rapid beating, feeling as if it would just burst out of my chest. I know this is just HI but... If I concentrate on it, it goes away. But I don't go a step forward, I go a step back and I know I do, because it will keep coming back and trying again. If I try to focus on a dream scene, some part of my consciousness is still noting it and I can't get past that part. It's been so many nights and every time, same thing. I know what this is, so don't bother telling me again, I just ask, how can I get past this?

You don't want to concentrate on any hallucinations at this point - you want to make sure your attention is 100% away from your physical body, and you are continually relaxing into the sleep paralysis. You might want to imagine your dream body moving, but just passively do this, and don't try to force a dream scene to come; it will form when it's ready! If you find that concentrating on the scene isn't working, do the opposite and relax, letting it create itself: passive observation all the way!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Thanks Puffin, I'l follow your advice and see what comes out. I constantly try my best not to pay attention to my physical body but, occasionally I get carried away with the dream scene and completely drop focus on my body but one tiny thought about what's happening just brings be right back. I start hearing my clock, my heart, feeling my body... just, not good. :\
I'l try to experiment and find a way to stop this from happening since, honestly, I've got so many nights to try this that I might as well experiment. Thanks again.

By the time I hit REM, I have to have my attention directed away from my body, as Puffin described. I get wacky body distortions if I am thinking about my body.

I have heard that some people try to imagine these sounds and feelings are in the dream world. Instead of being annoyed that real world things are distracting you, imagine they are bleeding over from the dream. I have never gotten it to work, but it might be worth a shot.
