      Moved to WILD section.

Yeah you can induce SP by laying still for long periods of time, relaxation is required though.

      Hey, Yoh!

It's fairly easy to induce SP. Before attempting stretch, relax, go to the bathroom, etc. Once you are ready lay in a comfortable position and just get deeply relaxed. You should try not to move and stay still as much as you can. Don't pay attention to your eyes moving. I recommend you wear a sleep mask. Anyway, yeah! You should read some WILD guides to get more familiar with SP and other things in order to get lucid! Good luck

I strongely suggest you get 6-7 hours of sleep before trying to induce Sleep paralysis. SP takes a long time to kick in at night, you'll be waiting quite awhile, and probably lose track of what you were doing, and fall asleep regularly.

Yeah your doing it right. When your focusing on your breathing, don't be too hard on your mind if it strays, just bring it back passivly. Don't even think of WILDing, breathing should be the only thought that occupies your mind. It's only natural that you will think of WILDing though, but just resist passivly. The point of focusing on only your breathing is not only to keep your awareness alive, but to shrink your conscious down to a little dot so you won't be thinking about what your trying to do (WILD). naturally it will feel a little like falling asleep if you do it right. You'll find you will begin to lose track of time to some degree. What you are actually doing is falling asleep, but doing it very fast and steady, before you lose track of your background awareness (that part of you focusing on the breathing). It's pretty clear when SP kicks in, you'll probably hear it before you feel it. Voices, rushing sounds. This is what will bring your full awareness back. But whatever you do, don't wait for SP, don't even think about that, passive focus on breathing is all that matters.
