      Midnight WILD, my first WILD

This night I was succesfull with WILD for the first time so I would like to share this pretty strange and fun experience.

It started at about 21:00 when I went to lull our daughter. After she fell sleep I stayed in bed and practiced autogenic training and relaxation. After some time I fell asleep and woke up around midnight.

I got up and went to living room and for about an hour and half worked on a comp. Then I had a shower and went to bed again.

I again started with autogenic training and relaxed. After some time (I guess about half an hour) I reached a state of quite deep relaxation but felt I couldn’t go any further. So I turned to prone position and relaxed again. I concentrated to not slip into sleep. Slowly I started to feel that world around me is melting away and I slowly stopped feeling my body.

Soon I felt presence of some people around me and heard them whisper. Then I started to search for one of them (with eye closed) and realized that I’m moving my dream body. Then I opened my eyes and voila – I was in the dream.
Dream itself was pretty short and not special but the transition was awesome experience.

I do my autogenic training for a quite a couple of months now and hope that it starts to deliver.

What do you think made this different from your normal relaxation sessions? I've always assumed the key element was the timing. Bring yourself to the trance state, and wait for REM. What do you think?

Well, I think that the key point was being up for a quite a long time - hour and half. Until now, when trying WILD, I always got up only for couple of minutes at longest, just going to toilett and back to bed. And I was falling asleep. So I'm going to test it again today as I will stay up again for about an hour.

And maybe another point. As I mentioned, I got to the point when I felt I cannot go any further. Then I turned to prone position but still kept trying. Untill now I very often let it be and just fell asleep.

Just yesterday I tried for one more time, but timed it badly and just when I started feel the world melting away my alarm went off.

So, I hope I will be able to tell you something more in few days. Wish me luck.

      Cheers,

      Petr

Congrats!! It will only get better. I have felt such great peace and joy in a lucid dream that it changed my life, much like how you hear NDE's change people forever. Good luck with your future LD's!
