      Basic WILD Questions

I haven' really tried to WILD very much, and have a question or two.

Is it okay to have a scratch while relaxing, or would that ruin the attempt?

Also, when waking up after several hours of sleep, is there a certain amount of time to remain awake, or just when you feel conscious enough?

      Thanks for helping.

I would also like to know the answer to both of those questions. I always scratch and it just seems like it starts the whole process back over, but even when I dont scratch, Im thinking about scratching...errr

Yeah I know exactly how that is. I hate it..
But you can certainly scratch - as long as you don't think about it too much!

The key is to be comfortable, if a scratch is agitating you, or something else, it is best to scratch it; to my knowledge. Better have a quick disruption then a long irritating one that just prolongs the process.

Well you're trying to fall asleep so make yourself comfortable. This part might piss you off but you have to experiment with your own self to see how long you should stay up. Example , day 1 - 10 mins, fall asleep | day 2 - 20 mins, can't fall asleep | day 3 - 15 mins, WILD.

In my experience, this is the case. As long as your body sees that you're trying to fall asleep then it will try to help you fall asleep.

That doesn't make me angry at all, I actually find that information helpful. Thanks for the tip, and I'll try to find out my time.

You should not move during the attempt to WILD. But if you have an itch or need to swallow, try to hold up to see if the urge goes away. If it doesn't, do it, but slowly, as if you didn't even notice you doing it. It will not ruin you attempt, maybe just sets you back a minute or two. It's better to get rid of the itch, than be bothered by it for a long time.

An you can stay up for WBTB anywhere from 5-60 min. It can be different every time, but in general stay up until you can think clearly, but you still sleepy enough to fall asleep. During this time is important to wake up your logical mind, so something like doing math can help. And the more you thinking/reading about LDing, the better. Happy dreams
