Smile my weird first lucid dream!

Last night i did a WBTB and woke up after 4.5 hours. I was attempting to do jeff777's free fall wild technique after my alarm went off. While i was relaxing i think i fell alseep. idk what happened because i didnt see any images and i dont think i was even close to SP. anyways after i fell asleep i heard music that I've never heard before and i know that during SP you might hear music. I opened my eyes after i heard it and BAM i knew i was dreaming. yay my first LD! I did reality checks and knew for sure i was dreaming. It was really fun. But my question is was this actually a WILD? How did i hear music but not see any illogical patterns or images?

Everyone is different in their experiences. The average person may experience lots of sensations as they fall asleep while retaining awareness. There is no universal path that everyone must follow.

      As for WILD...

WILD stands for Wake Initiated Lucid Dream because the dreamer manages to enter a dream directly from the waking state without any lapse in consciousness. Most believe that this is possible because when the body is motionless for a long period of time, the brain is tricked into thinking that the dreamer has gone to sleep. When that happens the mind disconnects itself from the body in what's known as sleep paralysis. From there the brain enters REM and dreams start to form, allowing the dreamer to go into it directly.

If you feel that you experienced what is described above, it would be considered WILD.

      Congratulations, and keep dreaming!
