When I'm attempting to WILD, I've gotten so close the last few weeks. And I think I have the fundamentals down to a decent extent- I'm just in my practicing mode now and I know it takes patience. But I'd like to bring up my most notable hinderance to relaxing my body into sleep; my heart beat.
Whenever I go to bed, and realize my intention is to go to sleep- I become much too conscious of the feeling of my heart beating. It's distracting and actually uncomfortable sometimes. Then, when I notice it... it speeds up, as if I've purposely trained it to do that every time. I go through my meditation processes and become relaxed and comfortable after a while, but as I remember that's it's sleeping time- there's my annoying heartbeat, back to say hello. It might be an anxiety thing.
But a problem at that point is, I don't want to get too involved in my HI visions (which are very, very realistic feeling lately) because they might get my heart too excited, and keep me awake. I can relax everything in my body except for my blood pressure. Do any of you have a method of slowing the pulse down? Any heart calming excersizes?

As a final note, I'll just add that I do try not to pay attention to it- and to just focus on going to sleep as comfortably as possible, but it's pretty hard to keep my attention away from it for long. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!
