What am I doing wrong? Please help

So I have tried WILD various times now and all of the times the same thing tends to happen. I'm laying im my bed still not moving, swallowing, twiching, and focusing on the back of my eyelids if not couting to 100 and back and if thoughts do come to my mind I try my hardest to brush them off. I always feel some sort of weird sensation. For example, last time I tried, I felt as if the earth shook and my body went numb. And that lasted for about 5 seconds before everything went back to normal. I tried keeping calm and made myself believe it was all my mind but I still couldn't be lucid. Was that SP? Please help me figure out what's wrong!

      Thanks

Are you doing it before bed? Wild is all about timing, so you need to time very well to interrupt a rem cycle or do it just before it's beginning. And the general problem i see, is that you're concentrating wayyy to much, Wild is all about being passive. Wild is about falling asleep with a thread of conciousness with you, how are you gonna fall asleep if you're constantly worrying about your body position, breathing and counting. It's just not possible so try this.

Wake up 4,5,6 hours into sleep, wake up for a good 10-15 minutes clear your head and go back to bed. Get as comfortable as possible, you will still be sleepy so that's good you'll just have to try to not fall asleep and you'll enter some sort of trance were you will get some day dreams and hypnogogia, that's good soon after when you least expect it you will be in SP the calmer you are the easier it is to transition.

Hope this helped and good luck.

Hi. I'm pretty sure that wasn't sleep paralysis. Those are normal body sensations you experience while your body is falling asleep. The reason why you notice those is because you're trying to maintain awareness while your body goes to sleep. You shouldn't worry about sleep paralysis by the way. It is NOT necessary for a WILD. Please check this out: http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/sensat...y-wild-137332/

When you feel any sensations, try not to focus on your physical body. If you see any hypnagogia or hallucinations, let them be. The goal is to fall asleep, and retain awareness. Good luck

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
