      Unhappy WILD Technique help?

i Have been having trouble with the WILD technique. it's either because i can't stay fully still, or my body just never goes into the paralisis.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Well, then I have good news for you. You don't need to stay still and you absolutely don't need SP to lucid dream. Sounds good? I hope so

Here is a great WILD(sageous) tutorial. You can also browse the WILD sub-forum for tons of info, lots of it is about SP and how much you don't need it.

So get comfy and start reading. If you need help with anything, just ask. Happy dreams.

WAIT! STOP THE PRESSES! You're telling me I don't need to stay completely still! Haha! This is a breakthrough; finally I will be able to lucid dream!

Thank you, although you un-intentionally told me, this will help me a ton.

Wait, that's not all. You are also allowed to swallow and scratch! How do you love me now?

      O_O

      Thank you!

So basically fall asleep as normal but stay aware of your thoughts/etc. so that you don't completely fall asleep.

I wanna cry! I'm so happy. Yes, yes, yes! That's the whole big idea. Oh, you gonna make one fine lucid dreamer, padawan

You're allowed to swallow as long as it doesn't become a distraction.

I personally found WBTB (wake back to bed) to be the most useful technique. You wake up for about 10-20 minutes in the morning (not too late in the morning) and review your dream journal or look at your goals, doing reality checks, then going back to sleep. I've had several WILD's and DILD's this way. I don't recommend going on the computer because the light of the screen will make it harder to go back to sleep.
      Sensei and namone like this.
