      Can't make it all the way... Help!!!?

      Last night I layed down to try and lucid dream like many other nights. But last night I made it to sleep paralysis and I couldn't move. Then I heard this pop in my head and felt a rush of energy. I felt like I was spinning and I saw glimpses of white light and was sure I was on my way. But then the whole surge went away and I was still in sleep paralysis. I layed there for half an hour trying to gain it back but I was no longer tired or relaxed at all. Finally I got up for a drink and it was like I had tunnel vision. Can anyone tell my why I can't seem to make it all the way?

      The process of WILD is very new and unfamiliar and plays out in multiple steps. On each attempt, you get a little bit further and experience something new. The new experience can be shocking or unsettling which spoils the attempt. But next time, you will encounter the same thing again and will be able to remain calm through it. So keep practicing and becoming familiar with those odd experiences like sleep paralysis and hallucinations. If will take many attempts but you will get there.

      It's like a video game, back when video games were hard (Castlevania, Megaman, etc). You'd spent hours playing the same level over and over. Each time you get a little bit further and reach a hard part. With a few tries, you solve the hard part and move on to the next one. After a while, the hard parts becomes easy and you can cruise past most of the level because you've done it so many times. It's all repetition.

      Thanks for the advice. I'm still super excited making it as far as I did. I felt so enlightened just making it that far, I can't imagine how I'll feel once I make it all the way.

      I don't see it in your post, but it sounds like you are attempting to WILD before sleep. This way, you may get some sensations, but you will quite unlikely get a lucid dream. It's best to WILD after some hours of sleep.

      SP is not a goal. Most of the people never get it before sleep. What you may get is sensations and HH, signs of falling asleep, not SP.

      If you have not done so yet, I recommend WILD (sageous).

      Sounds very cool!

      When I was into LDing more earlier last year I got about this far, except without the Paralisis.

      Same thing happened to me. I felt that beginning sleep paralysis rush and had that spinning sensation, then my dad turned on the tv, which he didn't realize was turned up so loud.

      Woke my ass right up. Thanks, dad.
